This video does come with a trigger warning, because traumatic subjects are addressed.
It was really interesting to revisit Custer's Revenge now that I actually know how to research a video properly - and found out lots of interesting stuff. There is a follow-up video about the Playaround "sexy" games also coming up soon, I'm just doing the final edit on that badboy.
You may have gathered from my rather dramatic Twitter feed from the last month that I've been in a bad place. I appreciate I am often in a bad place mentally, but this one was hopefully the one to end all of them. I am now FINALLY getting proper, professional help. A Home Treatment Team is checking on me every day, I have been assigned a social worker, and at the start of January I will be doing a six week-long therapy course specifically designed for people who have CPTSD caused by childhood sexual abuse.
It's going to sound insane, but one of the first things I wanted to do after accepting I have CPTSD due to sexual trauma was revisit Custer's Revenge - a game (originally) about rape. I think the fact that I can laugh at the game and the idiots who thought it was a good idea to make, and the fact that my viewers will laugh at it too, makes me realise how much stronger I and many other sufferers of CPTSD are than our abusers.
So please, please have a laugh at this video. I'm quite proud of my writing in this one. Love you guys, next video soon x
