Great episode. I can imagine that if the Lazarus passage didn't work, plan b would be an anti-capitalist rant like Jesus in the temple market.

2023-07-22 15:47:10 +0000 UTCStory time! When I heard this episode the first time I knew I had to go and ask my mom. I am a 90s baby, so I was very curious on how she was going to react. I was never into Cabbage Patch and actually thought they were about as freaky as the troll dolls. I went up to her and asked about riots in 83 and immediately she was trying to think of something specific. When she couldn’t come up with anything I say how about cabbage patch riots. Oh my God it’s like she turned into one of the zombies. She was transported back into the time where she had to wait in line at Toys “R” Us for a Cabbage Patch kid for one of the kids she was babysitting whose mom was working so she couldn’t stand in line. She went insane about it! Reliving every moment. She explained that there were so many people and the delivery driver was too scared to pull inside the parking lot. The workers at the store had to go on the loudspeaker and tell everybody that he wouldn’t be coming in until everyone dispersed. My mom waited in line for hours for it to not even matter and then for the kid’s mom to show up and go, “Wow, this is exciting!” How badly it triggered her had me cracking up, laughing! Best moment ever!
