End of the Month Update: September 2021
Added 2021-09-25 13:16:08 +0000 UTCHello patrons! Here's what I've been working on:
Storytelling Socials
This will probably be out next month. I was hoping to at least get Early Access out at the end of this one, but it doesn't look like I'm going to make it. Here are the new interactions aforementioned interactions will have no description):
- Call a Freeloader
- Express Compassion
- Complain about Divorced Spouse
- Insult Work Performance: an interaction for co-workers since the current ones are pretty inconsequential. Typically something like this is only available in active careers and it'd be nice to have it global.
- Check In On: a Compassionate interaction that allows Compassionate Sims to just express that they care.
- Lecture for Life Choices: this is a heavyweight storytelling interaction. Parents can lecture their (Teen+) children for their choices in life. Two outcomes are possible: the first is when it fails, which renders the child annoyed. The second is when it succeeds and the child feels tense over the fact that their parent has pointed out their mistakes.
- Complain about Divorced Spouse
- Confess to Cheating: this one is fickle. I'm not exactly sure how to work it in. I want Sims to be able to confess to cheating, but any Tests I add are going to invariably hit polyamorous Sims. It'd be easy enough to have a test for multiple relationships (girlfriend, fiance, spouse, etc.) but it's difficult.
Easy Sentiment Cheats
Just doing the tedious work of coding removing sentiments...
Better Autonomy
I think I've struck a balance by lowering the sCommodity for socialization and the stat use. I'm running into a problem where Geeks flock to the computer to practice writing, which isn't ideal. For the most part, I've gotten this balance down.
Small Mods
- Better Success for Autographs: with this mod, celebrities who are 2 fame points above someone they're signing an autograph for will be 500x more likely to succeed.
That's it for now. Sorry that nothing came out this month—it's been stressful as far as real life is concerned. Tomorrow I have to move back into the house which currently has no furniture...
