Fine, I admit it! I'm not retired! But I am retired from Patreon Early Access modding.

Anyway, here's a small mod: Trendi Situation Outfits for NeverPlayed Sims. Basically, this mod ensures that only Sims who have never been played at any point show up in the ridiculous Trendi outfits. I made this mod because one of my Sims is a war criminal in the story he's from, but he kept showing up in these stupid outfits.

Technical Stuff

This modifies two files: 9C07855F!00000035!0000000000046309.walkby_Job_HighSchool_FashionMarketplace_Trend.SituationJobTuning and 9C07855F!00000035!0000000000046308.walkby_Job_HighSchool_FashionMarketplace_Aesthetic.SituationJobTuning. Both files are responsible for something called a "walkby." A walkby is a situation where an NPCs walks around the neighborhood.

These specific files are SituationJob files. SituationJobs are temporary assignments given to NPCs, and sometimes the player, that denote the role they're playing in a particular situation. A situation can be anything; Britechester's School Spirit Day is one such instance of a situation. In this instance, these two SituationJobs have a filter.

The filter chooses what type of Sim can show up to a particular situation. Before this mod, it was filter_ages_ctyae_notBusy. In practice, this just pulled my Sims from the game, never any Sims that had never been played. Even more annoying, it somehow kept pulling Sims who would never be caught dead wearing these outfits.

This mod changes the filter to filter_ages_ya_NeverPlayed, which does exactly what it sounds like. No Sims who have ever been played will show up.
