0.4.0 Development Update: Introducing Sessions

(picture shown is not yet full render quality to speed up rendering for testing purposes)

I'm proud to announce an all new feature to the game: Sessions.

This is a new fully interactive way to enjoy your time with the girls.

You choose the scene, the outfit (or lack of), the toys, the pose, and the camera angle, allowing for thousands of unique combinations.

It will also include interactive scenes like punishments and sex. Even though there will only one of those for the initial roll-out, more and more will be added for future updates, as well as more outfits and toys. Those can then be bought in shops in the game, so that you have something to spend your hotel money on.

The first girl to get this feature is Sonya. The other girls will follow as soon as the story for the girl allows for it. There will also be polls for Patreons on what girls, scenes, tools, and outfits to add next. I'm very open to suggestions in this regard as well.

Development:

This feature will add over 1,000 new renders to the game. Each combination is composed out of multiple pictures blended together.

Usually, this technique is used for drawn 2D games, and it takes a ton of work to make.

With full 3D renders it would take as long if not longer for a raytraced render, as objects like clothes or toy would look bad without the appropriate shadow/shading without the right render context. Rendering each permutation individually would take even longer.

The main problem however is that doing a feature like this manually in this complexity would not only be weeks of meticulous detail work, as well as manually rendering each individual picture, but also it wouldn't allow for any changes or additions easily.

I solved this problem by coding another plugin for Daz-3D. I also developed a scripting language that can be interpreted by both my unity tools and by the plugin.

This was all renders can be created and batch rendered from one single Daz-3D scene and a short script. The plugin switches objects on/off and turns them into shadow catches and also manages file names and folders. The same script can then be read by my unity tools. Those tools then automatically create the interactive scene, copying and assigning all the pictures created by Daz. This means that there is zero manual management needed, which in turn makes it extremely easy to add new content for the whole thing.

With all the development done, using it for the other girls will also only take a fraction of the time.

I'm very happy that my plan was actually doable and proud that it turned out the way it did. At the start of development I was a bit scared I would waste my time with something that would end up not being viable.

I hope you will enjoy this new feature.

Have a wonderful week,
