Hail Dicktator 0.18, Early Access for $5+ Patreons

(version 0.18.2 is built using the new build method for size reduction as described in the news post. I'm leaving the previous version up just in case there are problems. Despite the reduced size, 0.18.2 has better image quality as 0.18.1)

Thank you again for your amazing support and for not leaking the last version.

Version 0.18 is now done!

I sincerely implore you to not share this version. The game is already free and it will come out for everyone. I'm only asking not to share it for three weeks.
The only thing that leaking does is hurt growth and slow development.

Here are the links:

As always, please make sure to keep a backup save game from the last version just in case.

I hope you enjoy it, and have a fantastic weekend,

Thank you, and thank you for the report. 0.18.2 should in theory be lighter on the machine, but there might be some sort of issue with the new system on your computer.

Here is what dxdiag reports as to the driver I have. The card name is Intel (R) HD Graphics Family. The driver date/size is 1/27/2011 7470080 bytes. This driver has been good enough to run the games I play, including 18.1, but maybe it's too old for the new 18.2? Also . . . it's a Dell Inspiron 620 desktop running Windows 7 with 6 GB of RAM. That's enough to run 18.1, but not 18.2 for some reason? Anyway . . . was able to play 18.1. Great game! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

But could not get 18.2 to work. My computer is running Windows 7. It is an older computer, but 64-windows. 18.2 would start and I could navigate with the map to various places around the hotel and island. I could watch the basic conversations with the characters, such as "How are you doing?" but when I followed the hints and loaded a new scene, such as Daisy at her farm to discuss the discovery of the door, I would see 99% as the scene was loading, then a white screen crash. I cleared up as much RAM as possible by disabling even the virus scanner and ran again. Again, same problem. I reduced the picture resolution in the options section of the game, and tried again. Same white screen crash whenever a new scene loaded, after the 99% notification showed as it was loading. Maybe I need a driver to display the new higher resolution pictures? . . . Anyway, I was able to run and enjoy 18.1. This seems strange because I believe 18.1 requires more RAM than 18.2. But 18.1 worked.
