LOTS of bug fixes
unfortunately, 'Classic Presets' are broken on this week's version

Developed for iris, tested in minecraft 1.20.1 (and 1.21.10) If you get bugs in other mc versions let me know!
Version Numbers:
version numbers are the date I made them, the newest is usually the best. (It's Year-month-day format)
for example 'Icarus v 2025 -3-29' is the version of the shader I uploaded on March 29th 2025
Extra Attachments:
Inside of the shader.zip file is a folder called 'Extras' which has Extra stuff in it that you can use for extra features, including config files and resource packs.
Modpack / Test Environment:

I also usually test newer mc versions with the 'Fabulously Optimized' modpack or just plain Iris & Sodium
Important Note:
'Classic' presets are broken on this version, I'll fix them next week
Lighting:
Changed default Specular from the Sun to be brighter
Added extra controls in Lighting/Light Sources/Sun
Lower Moon brightness by default
re-did night time lighting
bugs in ray traced screenspace shadows removed
colored ss shadows defaulted ON
soft colored shadow fixes defaulted ON, and added to relevant menus
fixed bugs related to modded world time that were affecting lighting
Water
changed default
updated all defaults and settings in 'Testing/New Water' so that you can try out all the new stuff by just hitting the 5 labeled switches in its main menu, all the rest is pre-configured to just work now
added the 'dirty water' changes to also be used when under water, not just above water
defaulted 'dynamic ray count per material' off for water to help with foam/noise in waves
defaulted TA to be allowed on water for foamy areas and where in the distance it uses pbr roughness to reduce noise from waves
To use the new water, go to 'Testing/New Water' and hit those top 5 things. Note: it only does mob ripples & wakes at sea level currently, i will change this later
Misc
untangled world time from almost all code for better modded behavior
removed buggy 'fast forwarding' in lava, clouds, waves etc at start/end of storms / rain
new abstracted game timer for all nature stuff
quite a few little bugs i found along the way

More-dynamic ray tracing for less noise when things are new on screen

plants no longer warp funny in the wind when bending - sunflowers are a great example of this

Physics Mod Oceans are temporarily not supported in this version

this version might be half broken on some stuff, I am in the middle of changing a lot. But I won't get any better done this week, I am in the middle of a big mess getting waves to go as far as you can see
