Poll - Shaders
Added 2025-10-14 19:18:55 +0000 UTCOk, I am trying to do some work on 'Just Colored Lighting' shader this week, and polish it up. I am wondering if anyone would want me to try to create a newer hybrid of it and Icarus. Basically like Pegasus 2.0. The Pegasus shaders did not grow well, but the original idea was to be icarus without the expensive lighting, just moving features over after they had matured and were better optimized. But the code got tangled up and too slow for what it's doing, and the core of its colored lighting is behind what's in 'Just Colored Lighting'. I am not sure if I should try again or wait for Aperture (iris 2.0) to launch to rewrite. Aperture is heavily in dev and is even a whole different language, so that might be a while. Thoughts?
