As promised, here more details about Fennec.
What I am planning, is to use an 8-pole low-pass filter (voltage controlled) and then feed the signal into a peak detector and integrator.
I want to make the sine into a cosine, so I get zero crosses on peaks. Then I want to use those zero crosses to track peaks much more tightly and so have better control over the peak detector.
I have then two options after the peak detecter. Either I use another comparator or I use the signal directly.
I am currently deciding on that, as well as what power rails and power requirements are best.
