Moo Pacman Update (2020-09-30)

Hey folks,

got a new update and a Linux build!

Quite a few things got added. The graphics got a bit overhauled and the win/lose mechanics got a bit expanded.

A bit of a feature list

+ lives work now. You have 4 total, with two hits each. Once you lose all lives, the game ends


+ Game modes. Only one available is Endurance right now. Collect items, until it becomes too difficult.


+ Difficulties can be picked. This will be changed later, but you can pick a difficulty at the beginning of the game. You have to restart the game to pick a different one.


+ Difficulty effects more. It effects enemy behavior, how maps look and map progression works and even speed. Give them all a try


- Timer got removed. It was a quick idea, but never really panned out.


+ Map progression. Once a map is finished, you get a new one. Difficulty decides how this works (get same or different) Also later maps have more enemies and quicker spawns


+ Power ups! You can pick them up and use them, to render enemies safe (and get rid of them to earn more points!) What you don't use, gets lost when going to the next map. But without them, you can get cornered. Chose wisely when to use them.

+ Additional items. Treats, gems and pebbles are there now. Only pebbles are needed for progression. Gems give extra points! (but are located on spawners) Treats give you power ups.


Controls:
Movement: WASD or arrow keys
Quit game: Escape
Power up/Accept: Space


It's a lot of what got added. I might have missed something. Still, it's a bit more finished and I am looking forward to adding more!
Other world types, modi and a story mode are planned. Also of course, menus and such.
