Mx. Little Moo (2021-10-13)

Hello folks,

today is another day for me to release a public demo!

There are a lot of additions here. Some other things got changed or removed.

Some additional info, before I go into further detail. This will be the last public demo, that gets content added to it! There will be Patreon only demos, with additional content and the public demo will get more core features.

That decision was made, to allow me to have a publicly available free demo. The idea is that you can play 1 mode and 2 worlds in any difficulty you like. But to get the rest, you have to buy the full version. That way, people can sample the game, before committing to a price tag.

This also means, I don't want the additional content available publicly of course. So there is that.

Some highlights on new features:

Title Change
Yes. The working title will still be used in some places, but I decided on an official name. It's a lean onto "Ms. Pacman", as the game generally is inspired by it.

Wisps
These are glowing energy balls, that teleport around the map. Be careful, as they can appear anywhere out of the blue and might trap you!

Options
You can change volume now (also added some sound effects) and window size, aspect ratio and difficulty settings. You can even switch to fullscreen!

Pause menu
When you hit ESC in the game now, you are presented with a pause menu. You can quit from there. You get a warning of lost progress, when you do and have to agree.
Planned is also, to have volume and screen size control in there, but those are not implemented yet. Also it's missing sound effects.

Sound effects
Sound! Yes, I added some. Not everything has effects and music is missing. This will be a longer effort, that I do on the side. But yay! First sound effects!

And now to the features!

- changed title
- added new map (meadows) and enemy (wisps)
- added sound effects (still WIP)
- added a proper pause menu (still somewhat WIP though)
- added splash screens a main menu and options
- within options you can adjust volume, screen size, fullscreen mode and difficulty
- power ups give a point multiplier now
- game modes can be selected, though only Endurance is currently available
- worlds can be selected (only forest and meadows are available)
- meadows and forest switched their enemies, so meadows have mushroom and forest has wisps
