A different game, but still transformation based!
This game will be a roguelike/dungeon crawler game, where you have perma TF instead of perma death!
Also it's supposed to be loosely related to Dungeon Misadventures (the kobold survival game). Both are just working titles, btw and I might change them, switch them, etc. We'll see!
Anyway, what will this game contain?
Current plan is that you will have 3 main classes to play. A warrior, a rogue and a mage.
Also if a monster defeats you, you will get an animation, on how you turn into one of them. Every animation is supposed to be unique, based on the player class and monster! (At leas, that's the plan)
Story wise, I am thinking of there being a monster infection and you're sent out to deal with it. You descend down into the dungeon to find the source (and neutralize it) or succumb to the monsters and join in on raiding your old village!
Some game mechanics are also set. What I want is 3 rather different play style, for the classes.
Warriors will be about melee damage and might. So you want to defeat foes in a single blow! But you can also heal, if you take too much damage
Rogues will be stealthy and swift. Stab monsters in the back, don't get seen and you will get far.
Mages are about control. They will attack from afar, but have to manage their mana, to not be overwhelmed. Place traps and use spells wisely, so no monster can touch you.
I'd also like boss fights, but don't have a good idea for those, yet. So we will see.
There is also an idea for lost runs. That you're able to play as the creature, you've become. Now your goal is to get out, and to corrupt the land! Your abilities will depend on the creature you became.
This isn't a solid idea though and prototyping will show how feasible it is.
Generally, nothing is really fixed yet, as I'm going to do prototyping for the foreseeable future.
If you're Carrier or above, you will get those prototypes to play around with, as soon as I feel they're ready for play testing.
