On the eastern edge of Scaridos lies the small port of Calix. Goods from across the Milean sea make their way to docks under the watchful eye of harbor master, Illias Nicodemus. He is known to possess a good head for numbers, a discerning eye, and a certain “moral flexibility” that makes Calix a safe harbor for merchants looking to avoid import taxes and pirates carrying unspoken cargos. A few coins in the right hand will guarantee safe passage; a few careless words will ensure a quick trip to briny deep. And do not worry about the ballista in tower; Illias claims he won it in a game of chance and is only for show. Illias wouldn’t lie to you!
