Museum of Pop Art

The Museum of Pop Art, or the Pop as it is known, houses an impressive and expensive array of pop art.  It is ideally suited for a heist of a valuable art piece, protect or target a VIP at an exhibit opening, or find a bomb hidden by a terrorist cell.

The Museum map pack is available with both day and night versions in gridded/gridless JGP [256dpi], gridless PNG [128dpi], and VTT [70dpi] formats.

Legends for both floors have been added.

The Museum was created with Dungeon Draft software and features the amazing assets of PeaPu (https://www.patreon.com/PeaPu/), Gnome Factory (https://www.patreon.com/gnomefactory), Tyger Purr (https://cartographyassets.com/creator/tyger_purr/), Canny Jack (https://cartographyassets.com/creator/cannyjacks/), Krager (https://cartographyassets.com/creator/krager/), Moulk (https://cartographyassets.com/creator/moulk/), Crave (https://cartographyassets.com/assets/5371/craves-huge-light-pack/) and Apprentice of Aule (https://cartographyassets.com/creator/aoa-store/)

That's just a concete that needs to be allowed for when it comes to Foundry unfortunately. It COULD be done with fading stairs in some way but the player wouldn't be able to see a token down the steps if the second floor covers that position anyway. The difference of a few squares of vision for players to see other tokens hasn't effected the players in my experience.

DarknessGlow

I was concerned if a players token was in the lower half of the stairs and you overlay the 2nd layer, they would not be seen if the stairs extend all the way.

Tim Maloney

As they are right now works.

DarknessGlow

I would let the stairs be duplicated on the second level so it cuts cleanly. Basically the same set of stairs layered one over the other. Usually works fine.

DarknessGlow

How would you suggest I do the stairs at the right side? Show the full stairs as they can be seen from the second level or cut them off where they disappear on the first level?

Tim Maloney

I can go either way on lights. Baked in or I can do it myself. Dealer's choice.

DarknessGlow

Do you want lights turned off?

Tim Maloney

Will gladly test it.

DarknessGlow

This will be a test... and you didnt realize that you have volnteered to test it! Let me see what I can do.

Tim Maloney

Yep! Makes layering floors so much cleaner and dynamic. No teleporting necessary, it just changes the Z Height in Foundry so it sees it as a new "floor." I've got a skyscraper that players on the roof can see enemies on the ground level because the token on the ground level is actually there rather than any trickery.

DarknessGlow

So a second floor with no first floor showing at all?

Tim Maloney

Any chance of getting a transparent background PNG for floors above the ground floor? Makes using Foundry's module Levels super convenient.

DarknessGlow

I love visiting museums. And yes, I often imagine using them in ttrpg's.

Tim Maloney

Is this based on any personal experience with art museums?
