Quick question

Would Epic folks also want 1000 word chunks if it meant more update/content? I write chunks at a time but hold back until I usually hit 3k-ish

Comments

Can I take option three? Whatever you think gives it the best flow? Some long ones here, some short ones there.

Tsume Hexed

Imo if the chapter makes sense to be smaller then no need to wait until you have more content, but you feel like it should be bigger then make it bigger

Chainezo

Would smaller chapters affect the way you write? While it would be nice to get to hear from you more I don't want it alter the flow of the story. It's amazing so far!

To add to that small chapters could become chapter xxx part 1 2 3. To keep the length consistent of your chapters Or just mini stories, would building, living on brother, a day in the life of someone. They help too. Even if it's just a random adventure that takes place in the world, no stings, no continuation one shot side stories or spin-offs

I will consume all content when provided, I will then forget you exist until I see that fantastic notification with your name on my phone. Then I'm happy seeing your new Amazing writings. Thing is smaller chapters leads to more achievable goals, which leads to more posts ! So I am happy with either

I voted no, although the truth is I don’t mind either way. But I think Stewie has a rythm and it’s fine. Don’t want to stress him out with extra deadlines even if they are shorter episodes. Just do what works best for you.

D J Meigs

Honestly either is fine with me so long as the story remains as high quality as it is. Just go with whatever length suits best for the chapter itself

While I love longer chapters, I just wish for more frequent releases

Stewart92.....I'm ok with waiting for a full chapter, or enjoying small portions leading up to another great finish! Whatever you feel better with would do well with me, I chose to help via a small donation cause I enjoyed your story.....and honestly that first chapter of another hero'ish one wasn't bad at all either, has me curious and still need to read through your other work you posted up earlier. Hell now that I think of it its clearly time to do a reread of our beloved Delta! That'll ensure I've got something to read while on break at work!

I do enjoy that Epic's chapters tend to be longer. There's many fictions I follow that rarely see more than a modest-sized scene in an update. I enjoy that Epic offers noteworthy progression on an arc or a large chunk of chaotic sidestory/precursor (such as we just had with the PvP zone). That said, I wouldn't mind shorter snippets about other random things in the universe. Smaller tales about Foodie or Trinity for example or some of their first adventurers. Or a musing of one of the OG dungeons about this dungeon network 2.0.

Erev

I'm good either way but would pick 1000 frequent chapters if I had to choose.

I like my meals to have some meat on them. Little snacks don't do it for me and just leave me more hungry. At least a hearty meal keeps me satisfied long enough to wait for the next feeding time.

Personally, it wouldn’t automatically be a deal breaker to have smaller chunks, but I have never come away from reading a 1000 word “chapter” feeling like I had read anything more than a relatively long paragraph. It would just mean that I stoped reading each chapter as they come out though.

At first I was like that's too small then was like how big are they normally and saw 3k and then I remembered one of my two other favorite series does wright in 1,000 word chapters so yea I'm totally fine with 1,000 words

Brandon14754

Considering the appetizers you started giving us I'm fine with waiting

Gabe

Although I would love more frequent updates, I also like to consume my Epic as a giant meal instead of smaller meals throughout the day

WarStrider72

I'm fine with waiting to get something proper to sink my eyeballs into
