It's always complicated to deal with parents who don't accept who we are. But at least he's in France now and he's living the life he always wanted, with a career he loves and a man he loves. ๐

I feel the pain very. Though my fam knows my sexuality (because I am a brave prince like I am and have no care at all๐บ)by letting them all know, some has hidden feelings that will always be not supportive but will love regardless.

For me personally, itโs hard being my true self at times in the black community at times even though my parents support me no matter what, even my immediate uncle On my momโs whoโs a pastor and willing to ordain my wedding With no problem. To my grandmother (dadโs mom), I have been charmed by wicked people and they used witchcraft to make me think these thoughts because this isnโt the David she knows. I love my grandma, I do, itโs just so hard to make her understand Iโm about to be 25 in a month and can make my own decisions and to just let her only grandson she has left alive to be happy. At least my extended family in Chicago may not fully understand me being pansexual/bi (depending whoโs asking to be easier of some folks), but they love me just the same even when they see me dating a cute white man whoโs a successful businessman. They still see me as their little cousin who loves to cook and be unapologetically black โบ๏ธโบ๏ธ
