America's Patriotism to Fascism Pipeline
Added 2020-09-11 00:42:25 +0000 UTCHey everyone! Sorry I wasn't able to upload this sooner. My wife and I were on a little anniversary trip so I started working on this one pretty late. There have been plenty of videos examining the YouTube far-right radicalization machine, but far fewer looking at the effect of Fox News and conservative talk radio hosts on older generations. This video is an attempt to explain why so many people from our parents' generation have spiraled into nationalism and even fascism. I hope you enjoy!

Ever since the lock down, march17,2020 or so. I began paying more attention to politics. I have mostly been uninterested my whole life do to politicians being sooooooo disconnected to what I have felt we / real regular people actual live like. I have never used twitter or facebook. still don't / haven't. I value my privacy. I am sick and tired of almost everything "American." Fox everything is awful. hateful alternate non-reality. I have been watching everything from lots second thought, john oliver, cody johnston and the like on youtube. I'm almost to the point of over full. ----My question, what can one person do to make the most action to move something to action, create influence to actual change so we can move forward and improve our country?

2020-09-12 00:52:23 +0000 UTCYeah I feel ya. I’ll keep putting my normal content on Nebula. No reason not to. No worries if you don’t want to sign up for another platform! I know it gets to be a little much at some point. Ideally more lefty creators would join a single platform (Rokfin looks promising so far), that way patrons could cancel their Patreon pledges and get access to more people’s exclusive content at the same price as one of their pledges. But yeah, YouTube is super unreliable for revenue. The last few months have been a roller coaster.

(just asking cause I'm starting to shell out money left and right for alternative platforms + patreons, at some point I'll reach my limit) Overall I'm pretty glad you put your stuff out of YouTube, the ads in there are getting crazy for what I suspect not much money transfered to you in return
