The US Military's Shady Recruitment Practices

Howdy, friends! This week's episode is about the US military and how they target the young and impressionable to fill their ranks and supply cannon fodder for the maintenance of US global domination. Hope you enjoy!

The US Military's Shady Recruitment Practices

Comments

I don't watch TV but I do believe we need more activists in front of enlistment centers handing out truthful lit to young people who blindly think they are "serving the U.S." by enlisting, when in truth, they're merely signing up to a terrorist mercenary military that only serves privatized corporate profits, not U.S. citizens!!

I don't think the video attacks the intentions of recruits. The target of the video is the shady tactics the military uses to exploit good intentions.

You see that ad that makes US soldiers look like the avengers? So transparent. Great vid btw!

I'm a US Navy veteran of 9 years on active duty and although I do agree that these deceptive recruiting practices should be outlawed, I don't see the US military as purely a force of evil. If you have a problem with the US military, take it up with US foreign policy. It's the policy makers who decide when to send in the military. The average recruit does not join the military to cause harm. For many it's their only opportunity out of economic hardship. I joined because of lack of opportunity during the 2001 economic crisis. As far as I know none of my actions caused direct or indirect harm. One of my deployments was just for delivering aid to Haiti. Next time you see someone in uniform, ask them why they joined and what they do. It might surprise you. And yes, there are a lot of problems within the military. Like many large organizations, there are systemic and cultural issues. For the record, I don't think we should have ever went to Iraq, but it wasn't the US military who ultimately chose to go there. I will continue to support your content because I think it's interesting and opposing voices should be heard. I also think that Pax Americana has benefited many nations. Global trade security helps all countries, not just the US. It's when politicians use the military as a foreign policy instrument instead of a last resort, that causes many of these problems.

Because recruitment is falling flat, they have come up with a Plan B: mercenaries. Someone even joked on a site I visited that the the US Oligarchy would actually import some of those Al Qaeda, Takfiris, Kurds and other irregular forces they've nurtured for decades in the event that the US masses threaten to overwhelm their domestic praetorian guard. It'd definitely be the height of irony seeing Al Qaeda, the supposed villain of 9/11, on the ground in the US protecting their sponsors. What a hoot! Speaking of 9/11, that would be a good topic to look into. All is definitely not what it seems with the official conspiracy theory. That is putting it mildly.

Good stuff Second Thought. I actually was complaining to my wife a few days ago about how silly and absurd recruitment commercials are on TV. It really feels like combat is being advertised as a live videogame experience rather than a position of power that needs to be applied only when necessary. I mean, there are rarely recruiting videos on TV where people are portrayed deescalating a situation. It's pretty much on the way to escalate a situation or actively escalating a situation. In short, pretty damn gross.

These stupid Calling videos make me so sick. How dare they try to use the language of fighting against oppression to trick people into joining the most violent organization on the planet.

That was an awesome job. Also glad to hear about gen z not falling for the propaganda. Now if we can only get the old faux news viewers to see through it!

Thanks! Glad you liked it!
