The Truth About The Cuba Protests

Howdy, comrades! Sorry this week's preview is a little late, this was such a big and important topic that I needed to take a little extra time with it. I think it turned out really well. This one's all about the recent protests in Cuba, analyzed through the lens of the island nation's long and bitter history of US oppression. Spoiler alert, the US media and elected officials weren't being entirely honest, nor is their supposed concern for the Cuban people sincere. I hope you enjoy!

The Truth About The Cuba Protests

I think one of the issues with Romania and its communist control was that it was basically enforced on them by a foreign power at gunpoint. They had a fascist dictatorship that purged most of its socialists and communists and sided with the Nazis, and the fascists had complete control of Romanian society for years, so they propagandized the population against communism. This led to a population completely unwilling to have communists in power, which meant that the only way for the Soviets to keep socialists in power was basically under threat of invasion.

Blowback season 2. It’s just coming out now.

No hate friends, just gotta ask. Where does the discourse about Castro come from? Guess I still got some propaganda bouncing around up here, but is he actually a shitty leader or was he popular among the people? Does anyone have resources about him I could read up on?

Why do communist societies tend to become totalitarian? Is there anything we can do to push socialism but not fall in another totalitarian trap? I'm Romanian and we overthrew our communist dictator in '89. People really don't like the term communism here.

David Peppers 6 minutes ago (edited) The current state of the prison industrial complex system in America has been brought to you by neoliberalism. God and I Love you. Peace! \o/ P.S. You cant even say the word neoliberal.

The Cuban trade embargo must end now!!

That fox clip blew me away, completely and utterly shameless. The American mindset is truly entirely dependent upon ignorance.

Basically the cuban Blockade is the US version of the British hissy fit because China throw out their opium XD

Honestly, I got a bit shocked that even over here in Europe the media was really quick to take a US-angled approach to coverage of the Cuban protests, especially in use of headlines and imagery. If you go into the actual articles you tend to get a bit more nuance, but there's still only a very basic acknowledgement of the US' role in Cuba's current situation and the underlying causes of why the state department supports the protests. They cover some of the legitimate grievances of the Cuban people, but it still gets contextualised as "Cuban government bad, ignore the imperialist superpower next door".

I'm a white, second generation Cuban on my mom's side. They fled Cuba in 60. They're very right wing, and racism is subtle but noticeable. It's shocking how they maintained white supremacy even when they were discriminated against themselves in America.

Thank you.

Thank you, this was so needed. I have shared this more than any of your other works! ✊

What's so unfortunate, because of the contradictory nature of this video's content, is that the pushback you'd get for explaining Cuba's issues falls on deaf ears; US citizens are not informed at all about this. The US has successfully made it taboo to insult its own sovereignty. Incredibly sad. Great job on this video, TJ!

Vince Barbosa

Not to be "that guy", but white Cubans want white supremacy.

The video was a real insight into how the U.S government is tripping over itself to get rid of any way of life that goes against the ways of capitalism. Great video man, been watching ever since your C.I.A video and this is the first time I donated, so I hope your able to make more videos like this and go viral.

👏

Let's goooo!

heck yeah
