Is This The Beginning Of A New Labor Movement?

Howdy, comrades! This week's video is about the resurgence of the labor strike as a weapon against capital. Since the beginning of the pandemic, we've seen a surge of protests and strikes in the name of better working conditions and improved safety. Union membership is finally on the rise again after 40 years of decline. Are we witnessing the very first steps towards a new unified class consciousness? I hope you enjoy the video!

Funny that capitalist love speaking of "labor market", but when that market shows that what they are offering just doesn't cut it, they knickers get all twisted. They are two participants in the market. Currently, the workers are obviously rising their demands, and are yet to reach the level the market will bear. Are writers of those posters really ready to close down their businesses rather than give livable wages and humane working conditions? Yes? Well, so be it: others will replace them. "The invisible hand of the market", you know.

Let me just point out that these "concessions" unions are trying to extract from the employers have nothing to do with "socialism" or "communism" - they are just the prerequisite for the survival of the current economic system. If pauperization of working class does not stop, all will end in a bloody, unproductive revolution. F.D. Roosevelt stopped one such revolution brewing; I wonder will an equally shrewd politician emerge again.

So am I. If you treat your employees as partners, you all can only benefit from this. It worked for me. A litmus test is listening how are your employees referring to some endeavour of your company. if they refer to it as "we", "us" and "ours", you are good.

I am a small business owner, not a wage slave. How will this apply to me?

That'd be a great start.

Hi, I still can't find the link to the discord server. Where can I find the link? I'm on the iOS Patreon app

Until we have a system like Germany where 50% of company boards are workers I won't be even remotely satisfied. We don't have a lot of time before these assholes destroy our planet.

The first step in raising class consciousness would be getting the "temporarily embarrassed millionaires" to admit they truly are working class folx and are not the next Bozos.

😂🤣
