How American Workers Are Losing Billions

Howdy, friends! You've probably heard the term "wage theft" before, but do you know just how big a problem it is? In the US, wage theft is dwarfs all other kinds of theft combined. Let's take a look at why this is happening and try to understand the underlying problems that enable it. Hope you enjoy!

Capitalists have no sense of what motivates a person to go to work. Calvin Work Ethic was what brought about capitalism. It was a predestination doctrine habitualized into society, that your salvation is seen in your industrial productivity. This put a pressure on people to push them internally with the fear of rejection that would land them in poverty. By the doctrine, that would mean you are predestined for hell. This was encoded into the moral programing of our prior generations.

I would totally sit through a 15 minute video on the labor theory of value.

Sorry, it's the blind dude aagain. Can you link me to the Discord group, please? I can't seem to find it, thanks.

Please tell people to stop buying anything except necessities to hurt profits and ultimately destroy capitalism, the oppressive wage system. Please!

Not for nuthin but as a side note - I live down the street from the Oxford school shooting and it is a fantastic, leave your doors unlocked kind of town - Our Governor just allocated 50 MILLION to put more cops in schools here. I could here the door locks clicking all over town.

Ohhhh....The things you sayyyy..... I can assure you there are at least a couple of people watching this video muttering the words quietly "man....we need to shut this kid up..." You are taking on the people with money and again, for that and other similar reasons, I happily contribute to your cause. Keep it up my friend - people need to hear this stuff.

Another professionally produced video essay on a concept prerequisite for class consciousness. Great work!

Hi, Second Thought! I know you mostly deal in American politics, but would you have recommendations for content creators that explore issue that affect Canadians specifically? Just wondering, thank you for your videos as always!

I think more people should be willing to sit through the aforementioned 15 minute video essay on the labor theory of value. Paul's "Socialism 101" series is an excellent starting point.
