How Capitalist History Whitewashes Black Radicals

Howdy, comrades! It's Black History Month, so it's about time we talked about the recuperation of Black radicals like Dr. King and Nelson Mandela. Everyone and their mother likes to claim MLK as their own, and use his words as a rhetorical weapon, but what did he actually believe? This one could have been so much longer, but I guess that just leaves room for a part two in the future. Hope you enjoy!

whoops wrong thread.

"The ghetto is a domestic colony." Ouch, I really felt that. It is unfortunate that the histories of Dr. King, Nelson Mandela and other controversial/radical African/Black figures of the 20th century have been white-washed for the benefit of the neoliberal capitalism order that is now in decline. Fortunately there are fruitful efforts to set the record straight.
