America's Forgotten Socialist History

While it's true that the US has never been governed by a socialist party, it's impossible to look at US history and say we've never had strong socialist movements and notable socialist figures. My Dad was about as far from a revolutionary as it is possible to be, but I was delighted to learn he voted Socialist in his first national election ( probably for Debs, given the dates).
