EARLY ACCESS: The Most Dangerous Thing In The Western Hemisphere
Added 2024-03-06 22:53:31 +0000 UTCHowdy, friends! I don't know about you, but I'm really tired of pretending liberals are any less dangerous than conservatives. If anything, the past five months or so have show us they can be even more bloodthirsty. Let's take a look at perhaps the greatest barrier to progress in the western world: the American liberal. Hope you enjoy!

Don't stop. This channel helped initiate me to become less a "I'm with ya when ya need me" sideline socialist to helping channel my anger at so much, particularly the climate catastrophe and the absurd response to the pandemic.... But even though my politics stopped at rhetoric and the occasional polemic before, I have always disliked being thought of or called a "Liberal" (in Canada liberals are not just wishy-washy eedjits and sad-eyed about bleeding hearts they're The Liberals our species of Democrat); but it is shocking how many people I know, many of whom would have, certainly in our younger days, have at least leaned left have seemed to ignore completely most every single thing I've posted, spoken about or shared online since the beginning of this live genocide. And I've really yet to hear more than a couple people I still see in daily life even mention it, out do more than look uncomfortable when it's brought up. And I KNOW many of these people must feel something akin to the horror and tears I do, but are.... What? Don't wanna open their mouths or seem to support a pinko commie? That's alarming......."The Fascists are Klanging Their way through North America....."

2024-06-23 14:32:14 +0000 UTCBro DONT STOP!!! I've always felt this way about the left but I never once thought about looking right even though I can listen and vibe with American families who identify as either they really do hate all wars except the one currently happening and support all social movements except the one that's happening now.

2024-03-11 08:54:04 +0000 UTCI have to admit I’m a liberal. While I dispute some of your criticism of liberals, I note that you have problems with your socialism. Ever hear of Stalin and Gulag? Kim Jong Un? Civil liberties in DPRK? Really? Here you do have the right of protest and free speech . By the way I’m a Patreon in the interest of free speech. Ever hear of John Stuart Mill? Have a great day

2024-03-11 04:05:44 +0000 UTCElectoral politics are a dead-end for regular working people in the U.S. We need to build a party that uses the fact we produce everything of value using raw materials from nature as a way to get what we need. Strikes, protests and other direct actions are the way for working people to assert ourselves. The elections are a distraction. No matter who is elected, the U.S. government is a committee used by the bankers, CEOs, large landlords, et al., to manage the affairs of society on their behalf. The state—at its core, the cops, courts, prisons, the military—belongs to the property-owning class. If the working people want democracy, we have to become the property-owning class.

2024-03-09 18:31:12 +0000 UTCLiberals are pro-capitalist/pro-imperialist, sometimes the staunchest, but from a revolutionary perspective, our job is still to find the weak spots in their allegiance, and win them to socialism. For the record, I always opposed avoiding conservatives when we go out canvassing or at protests, but I found it stupid that a small but vocal group of self-described Marxists dreamt up something like "MAGA Communism." Their position isn't any closer to Marxism than liberals. In the '90s and '00s, when I said "Break with the Democrats" I didn't find it at all necessary to say "but don't turn to the Republicans." That was a given. Now I have to be clearer, "Break with the Democrats, Republicans, and ALL pro-capitalist parties."

2024-03-09 03:43:42 +0000 UTCEvery so often I step back and reevaluate my interactions with allies and friends to make sure we align. Me and them, we don't align. If you disagree with any part of their wacky nonsense, they turn on you. They are incapable of assimilating new data that doesn't reek of modern feminism or " extreme inclusivity." I've come to realize that not every "feeling" needs validation. They're just as much a cult as republicans or trumplicans. It's just sad and painful to watch.

2024-03-08 20:32:32 +0000 UTCParty building is more than throwing a candidate in against the usual suspects and we generally don’t do that work. It’s hard work and takes time. 2024-03-08 04:07:27 +0000 UTCUkraine doesn't endorse fascism. Russia, in turn, is a fascist, or rashist, country. Russia is a capitalist country. Russia is invading another country to occupy its territory, thus imperialist. Russia has already killed hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians. You're simply an evil person if you are trying somehow to justify it.
Maksym Labzhaniia
2024-03-07 22:16:26 +0000 UTCukraine banned communism (and fully endorses old and new fascism) , russia hasn't (yet, maybe). communists probably have a more nuanced view of the conflict. lot's of things aren't 'clear', one thing being your view being totally supported by the western capitalist imperial class.

2024-03-07 18:36:16 +0000 UTCThose are good points but I'd argue that the problem is people not realizing that Liberal Democracy (aka Oligarchy) is not an honest but flawed political system that struggles to represent the people but is actually a spectacle used to shepherd us while the state serves the capitalist class.

2024-03-07 15:18:40 +0000 UTCCanadian here. Fun fact, that protest 'outside' the hospital was actually a protest that started at the US embassy in Toronto, and the crowd walked to the Israeli embassy. The fastest path to take goes in front of mount siani hospital. Because there were (thankfully) a lot of people who took part in the protest, clips were shown of the protesters outside the hospital, even though it was never a target for protest. Funny how that works, the media deciding what to show us, pushing their naritive, not exposing the truth to power like I was led to believe my entire life.

2024-03-07 14:06:12 +0000 UTCBut JT's position seems anti-Ukraine and differs from what you say
Maksym Labzhaniia
2024-03-07 10:12:38 +0000 UTCI think it's because Western communists are a minority that is used to having to be the dissenting voice. Since our leaders are not speaking up about Palestine (or Yemen, or any conflect except Ukraine really), the anti-establishment left speak their concerns loudly about those conflicts. If you are a communist opposing the Russian invasion, you don't have to do that, as everyone else already does. The media are full of condemnations of Russian atrocities, and our tax money is already being spent on Ukrainian defense. Much less need to step up and speak your mind there. Plus, then there's a group of idiots who think Russia is still socialist and therefore support anything it does, but I've fortunately never met one of those in real life. For what it's worth, personally I think Ukraine deserves all the support it gets, but I am critical of the way it is being given. This is two-fold: first of all, we don't give you money, we give you coupons to spend at Rheinmetall, Lockheed Martin, etc., forcing Ukraine to dismantle its social services and labour protections while stimulating our own military-industrial complex. Second, we constantly first claim to fear for Russian escalation, then later escalate anyway after the Russians got a chance to dig in. This has the effect of prolonging the war, rather than encouraging an early total victory - at the cost of both Russian and Ukrainian working class lives. We claim to support Ukraine in its pursuit of a total victory, but our actions seem to steer towards a negotiated deal with Russia where you still give up territory, just after a lot more soldiers have died. So therefore, the only solutions are to either give up on Ukraine (because nobody believes our rhetoric about a rules-based world order anymore, anyway), or treat this imperialist invasion the same way we would treat it if Russia didn't have nukes and fully support Ukraine in the conflict. In an ideal world, we'd have taken the second option. But in that world, the international community would also have intervened in Iraq in 2004, and its army would now be redeployed to Palestine to repel Israël.

2024-03-07 10:06:32 +0000 UTCGeez I had no idea there was still more layers to unravel here. Meaning, things I immediately understand when you explain them, but they've otherwise stayed in my subconscious before now. Thank you. Specifically this one "...there is a pipeline from simply existing in the empire to becoming a rabid servant of the empire..." That's straight up George Orwell stuff right there. If you didn't write that, I hope your writer profits handsomely.

2024-03-07 08:16:36 +0000 UTCI can’t wait to share this from YouTube. Hopefully my liberal friends will see it and understand more of why it is important to not compromise principles for capital

2024-03-07 07:59:54 +0000 UTCWhat about Ukraine? I'm Ukrainian, and it's sad for me that the communists are only blaming the West for the war when it's clear that Russia is the one responsible. In only one Mariupol, there were allegedly more civilians killed than in Gaza, and the siege of Mariupol lasted less than three months, but the communists were indifferent. Russia has entirely demolished many cities and towns of a smaller size. The Western communists aren't protesting against what Russia is doing. The best case is they're demanding the war to stop keeping the neutrality. But in this case, the neutrality means taking the Russian side. It means that any country may occupy another country by force. What Russia is doing in Ukraine has all the signs of genocide. Russia is an imperialistic country. Communists must be against it.

2024-03-07 04:55:07 +0000 UTCThis is so true. I've tried to work with liberals on specific progressive projects, and it's futile. They're masters of performative support for justice, but as soon as we get close to any meaningful reform, they support the status quo while appealing to rules and order

2024-03-07 02:25:40 +0000 UTCFirst of all, this is probably your most hard hitting (for me, anyway) piece yet. I plan to send this to my mother who has organized several Adam Schiff Campaign Parties with Mark Hamill and the Family Guy creators. She's from the same part of the world and is exactly the same age as trump with early onset dementia so that probably should tell you everything you need to know about her biases even as a self described "democrat," but I feel she and her neoliberal friends need to see this. I sent the following email to David Pakman last night: Re: David's take on "Revisionist History" makes him a hypocrite. Ryan Jay Slater Mon, Mar 4, 11:21 PM (2 days ago) to info MSNBC and CNN: ""We're neutral, objective and unbiased" and "we did a 'good boy,'" as David put it, giving credence to both sides when evidence is empirical (about climate science in the example he used). I'm a Pakman Show member but I can't figure out Discord. Really wanted to try but I'm almost 41 and I simply don't get it. Wish I could get the bonus shows delivered more easily, as well. Through YouTube, ideally. Also my hours at Amazon don't match your Friday call-ins. At undoubtedly great sacrifice, Second Thought's JT Chapman felt forced to withdraw from his partnership with Nebula because they asked him to make a "both-sidesy" statements regarding Israel/Palestine, an issue he believes is cut and dry. And although he didn't provide his view in that episode, it was later revealed with another of his hard hitting and objective pieces. But you are refusing to address this. And frankly, David, you say you're the same person on camera as you are off. So you have a duty to your integrity and to your audience to share your true feelings on this opening yourself to criticisms. You've said you're kind of with Bernie and that's fine but you've also said that you've got a different "framing" if I remember the word choice on Discord, with your caller. If you look at evidence that most believe is empirical but come to a conclusion contrary to that of the majority then your audience needs to know whether or not your statements can be taken at face value; from now on, deciding to make those adjustments in their heads as to when you're being practical and when you're being emotional. Even in your analysis of Kamala Harris' speech that didn't result in her typical furious head bobbing "tell" from lying (rare for her), you failed to mention the most important moment: her calling for a ceasefire. I was a big Vaush fan and supporter until little by little he gave away more credibility to LGBTQ partisanship. And like Vaush, you're also trying to avoid debates now too. I'll note that I had been encouraged by your evolution on the subject since your first day's post 10-07-23 but, you are wrong, it is not 5% of your audience who wants to hear more of it. It's all of us. I was watching Pakman my local ABQ cafe and a neighbor approached me telling me he's your fan and that he liked your show because you're a Spanish speaking Jew from Argentina and you understand the sensitivity of the Gaza Genocide. I'm paraphrasing but that was the gist. I told him to give up on Brian Tyler Cohen who's a sensationalist even just judging from his "so-and-so obliterated so and so" thumbnails. I went on to suggest he consume more Cenk and Ana (and Briahna Joy Gray), from now on. He and I shared in our enjoyment of your show and I think few give the credit you deserve as a comedian. Sincerely David, "it's with tears in my eyes" that I tell you this, I think your dry humor is f*cking hilarious (even compared to mine). And to my fellow Pakman show fan, I credited you that you too had seemed to have come back down to level earth since your very off-brand take, immediately after the Hamas attack. Several brave callers keep trying to get you to address this. You should give them credit. They're trying to secure your credibility but your apprehension is affording the suspicion further speculation. I was literally "unfriended" by a very good friend, who was born in Israel, today. Someone I often believed was smarter than me but It's almost like a Scientology "accept-my-cult-or-I'll-sue-you" agenda with this hyper-victimization mentality. I dated a black girl this summer and it was too much for me. Everything became a race issue. And I was on her side! 2 million people have come to you because they believe you are honest. But you've sacrificed credibility before. I stopped watching you for a time after your April Fools' MAGA bomb threat. That's not funny, you dumb*ss. Your fans care about you. I'm one of them.
Ryan Slater
2024-03-07 02:24:26 +0000 UTCI gave up on liberals a couple of months ago. I have no sympathy for fake virtue-signaling assholes. 2024-03-07 00:49:35 +0000 UTCMonkeh, the problem is not that Americans don't realize the power of voting for a 3rd party. It's that we don't HAVE such power. The Electoral College, and the absence of Proportional Representation seats in U.S. legislative bodies means it truly is a wasted vote to vote Green, or Socialist. Don't get me wrong, I want it NOT to be a waste; I have advocated for changing the system to end the EC and to try proportional representation. But until we have made those changes, votes for leftist 3rd party or independent candidates only help the far right. Want an example of this? In 1984, the Socialist Workers candidate was made the focus of a leftist walkout from the Democratic candidate in the U.S. Senate race in Kentucky to protest the Democrat incumbent Senator's lack of progressive positions. Despite Kentucky not being any leftist haven, the Socialist Candidate David Welters got 7,000+ votes. The Democrat was upset by 5,000+ votes by -- are you sitting down -- an obscure county government chief named Mitch McConnell. It was progressive Americans being oh so smart enough as not to vote for the Democrat that saddled the nation with McConnell.

2024-03-06 23:31:00 +0000 UTCYall in the US have no choice except between bad and comically evil... While here in Canada we have a legit 3rd party, the NDP, which if given the chance to lead would enact massive change just to stay in power. But of course, people here just don't seem to understand the huge political power they would gain by voting in a third party... People once again voting against their own best interests 🤦♂️ Reformism won't ever work...
