EARLY ACCESS: Unions Are Good, Actually

Howdy, friends! Hope your 2025 is off to a good start. To make it even better, why not start a union drive at your workplace? In this episode, we're taking a look at why unions are so powerful, how the capitalist class tries to undermine them, and how you can build a union in your own workplace. Hope you enjoy!

Although my brother is hardcore conservative, he also spent his entire career working in the US railway union. The way the rail system works is its own world. He used to download changes in the rules every day before going on shift, and carry the book with updates added in his grip onto the engine. For 40 YEARS. He said all they had to do to stop the railroad was to actually follow the rules as written.

The tactics employed by the Scottish and French in the examples are a great take away on how much power the worker actually holds.

Having a similar issue, it won't confirm that I'm signed in. Edit: apparently Patreon is antagonistic to Nord VPN

I'm enjoying a pension that pays me more than the median FAMILY income in Arizona, as well as stellar Union retiree health insurance. Retiring at 52 is a dream that only a Union can help you fulfill!

Is 5:30 the start of JT's revisionist turn to a pro-French line??? Jk of course. Good info on unions and I can only hope for the working class that they see more and more utility in them and come up with creative ways around the draconian restrictions of union activities we have today.

Unionize...I wish. I work at one of the auto companies and the UAW won't even respond to requests because I'm not part of the assembly/blue collar crowd. In a VP level meeting yesterday they were happy to tell us about a group of 200+ employees that had to work 24/7 for over 3 months. They had less than 50 hours off in a 100 day period, a timeframe that included Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years to boot. Those of us in offices sure could use some union help too.

I work in one of the few industries left in the US where unions are required and we're better for it. A lot of the older guys at work love to bitch about unions but we make good money and the work/life balance has gotten wildly better over the last decade or two and it's all because of unions. A lot of the oldheads complain because apparently they've never worked or forgotten about what it's like to go without one. Every workplace in this capitalist shithole should have one.

It's not off to a good start, but thank you
