Why not go on linked in? Otherwise you are just preaching to the converted in a bubble. Everyone is actually using linked in as it helps them get a job and get on with their job and these are workers who you can’t ordinarily get to. The good thing they are all over to the right so will give you bad comments, but the good thing about linked in is this actually propels you faster and there is no thumbs down option.

2025-03-27 23:12:03 +0000 UTCJT I feel your pain for that medical bill. My insurance at the time of my daughter’s birth was not great and we ended up with a $6000 bill. The exact same scenario. It was a picture perfect labor and delivery. The kind of thing you read about in textbooks - and we owed $6000. We had no income. I scraped away to ensure we would be covered during my (partially paid) maternity leave and I was the sole breadwinner at the time. It worked out, but we were lucky.

As you say the UK system has been screwed by allowing private entrants to cherry pick the bits they want and not properly investing in a system that is facing a growing and aging population. But although we are in a mess, I still wouldn’t take what you have in its place.
