The realism you mentioned is definitely one of my favorite parts of this. The relationships and emotional wrangling feel so genuine, while still allowing us to really relate the the characters. Fantastic writing!!

Now we are getting a bit deeper in the story. You see the complex blend of the romance and sports from these episodes. Taiki making progress in both his athleticism and his relationships. He equates being good at badminton to one step closer with being confident to win Chinatsu. Yet the gap is still so wide to actually achieve his goals. I appreciate the realistic approach that DESPITE the hard work nothing is guaranteed as that’s the nature of sports and life in general. It was nice to see how despite Taiki’s struggles there are people who are showing their support. - Chinatsu telling him to score as she also continues her basketball journey - Hina showing up for Taiki with food after the loss and just recognizing Taiki's mental strength in pushing forward - Haryu being a mentor and supporting Taiki’s badminton growth as he also tried winning the tournaments. All of them each have built connections with Taiki and despite each of them being better athletes than Taiki we see how all of them still have their own "battles" needed to be face. Basically I appreciate despite the complexity of the love triangle, everyone has each other's backs when it comes to each individual's struggles. The characters are relatable and managed to remain humble.
