DISCLAIMER I’m not actually this thicc my thighs just “do the thing” when I sit down. I wanna gain weight tho. Currently I’m 101lbs. My current goal is to get to 110. Btw do y’all have any tips for working on my arms? I have really strong legs but really weak arms and I wanna be strong on arms too, just not big.

So there are 3 main body types. Endomorphs have a wider physic and can spend hours at the gym trying to burn fat. Mesomorphs are natural athletic Greek God bod shape everyone wishes they had. And Ectomorphs who are skinny and can't gain weight to save their lives.I myself am an Ectomorph. I sit at 130 lbs at 27 years old and on deployment I reached 145 and i looked great. A buddy of mine I met on deployment works as a personal trainer. He showed me photos of himself at 130... he sits at 165 now and models and shit crazy right. Us Ectomorphs cannot be in the gym for hours or even 1 hour. We possess little to no fat on our bodies. The body utilizes carbs first it's the preferred fuel. If all carbs are exhausted your body will tap into protein (byproduct of protein breakdown is ammonia and you will smell it in your sweat yuck). Next your body will burn fat reserves which we already know we don't have so finally, our body eats up muscles to make fuel. With that in mind you want to make sure you carb-load 40 min before a workout. Next is don't be in the gym longer than 30 minutes at a time. Get in, lift 3 sets per exercise at heaviest weight you can comfortably do 3 sets in, shoot for 2 exercises per muscle group a push and a pull, and get out. You want to be in an anabolic state (building and maintaining muscle mass including proper nutrition) you don't want to be catabolic (breaking down and losing mass both fat AND muscle). Say you are doing chest and triceps one day. Cool. Chest press (push), rows (pull), dumbell skull crushers for tricep extension (push) and hammer curls (pull). If time allows add in 1 more exercise for each targeted muscle but remember get in, lift heavy, and get out before you go catabolic. Don't lift beyond your means, don't get injured, but other body types have to use low weights and 10 reps in order to shred and burn. Luckily that's not our body type. Unfortunately lifting heavy sucks. Really focus on form and squeezing the muscles. An example is a curl, most just curl. But if you focus and turn your pinky towards your chest you actually activate your biceps more making each curl more effective crazy! And make sure to eat within 30 minutes after your workout your muscles need to repair in order to become Bigger! Protein shakes are great for right after

I'd recommend starting off with light dumbells and just doing some curls or getting a resistance band and doing the same. You won't have to worry about getting big bulky arms unless you train for a long time.
