What to Expect 2.0

Hey there! As I’ve mentioned before, it's time to move on to the next stage of the project—the part I’m probably most excited about: the final stages of Glair, which will serve as the model for the other characters.

Right now, the project is at a point where all the key pieces are in place, and it's time to shape this segment into a showcase. This will set the standard for how I want to develop each character, what can be done with each one, and the intentions behind them.

This is where storytelling, scene development, and how each piece connects will all come together. Everything needs to stem from the foundation we’re laying now, and these details will be refined step-by-step from version 0.05 to 0.1.

What’s still left to do? When I shared the roadmap, I already had a good idea of the direction I wanted to go in. We still need to introduce the rest of the initial characters, navigation, dressing room features, and scene-building mechanics, among other things. It might sound like a lot—and it probably is—but now I have a collaborator who’ll help with the coding. We’ll be working together to plan the most efficient route forward, aiming for a development rhythm of 30 to 45 days between each release.

This part is crucial because, once the other characters reach the same development stage as Glair, they’ll be adding to the upper level of the building and bringing in thematic upgrades. I think it's a cool approach, so I want to polish everything as much as possible before we dive into the more intense parts of the narrative arc.

To help with this, I plan to open up a beta channel for members to test things out and give feedback on whatever they think is relevant.

Focusing on this phase of the game means one thing for me and for you: content. Both what’s still missing and what’s already planned. Once you see what I aim to accomplish with Glair, you’ll want to take things to the limit with the character you like most.

I won’t keep going on—I may go offline for two or three days this week to refresh my mind, but I think it’s necessary to recharge. Since this is a public post, there are some things I can’t say.

Oh, I almost forgot! A native English editor might be joining soon, so no more making your eyes bleed over my English, haha... :_(

Again, thank you for supporting me in making this happen. From this update on, you’ll see an even clearer difference between the standard and extended versions.

Sincerely,
_roasDev
