Piece of History (-ical fiction)
Added 2024-12-21 01:40:39 +0000 UTCThis is something I wrote as an exercise. It's mainly practice for accuracy and such, when I'm including things that pertain to the real world. I did a lot of research, and all the sources are listed at the end.
Be warned: if you are Christian, my take on these characters may rub you the wrong way. I didn't go into this thinking that I would paint the religion in a bad light, but if viewed from certain angles, it can be seen that way.
I went to school for historical theology, so my entire focus was on learning how religion changed due to the views of those who practiced it. I'm fascinated by the origin of myth, and the lives of the people that perpetrated it.
This story takes place at a point where paganism and Christianity are at odds with one another. Hopefully the concept - if not the story itself - interests you as much as it did me.
