PaintProgressionz: catfang en su go kart

alot of things just drastically changed alot within just a few days
but im doing better than the previous posts
and ive been getting back to animating
but lets get started on this post
why did I paint this???
idk i wanted to paint somethin w color and at the time I kept thinking
about my old project where I was gonna put my own characters into Mario Kart 64
so I decided to sketch some characters out
but felt like the catfang one would prolly be more fun to paint
so I started with the back of the kart and engine
getting the colors down first n shaping it up while looking at prerenders as a ref
to get the design accurate
tho I do know that the colored metal is supposed to connect to the exhaust pipes
but I never liked doing that one part always thought it looked better disconnected n more seperate like I painted it
so once i got done tinkering with the colors and deciding on how the lighting was gonna look
I slowly worked my way to the tires and from there decided that it would be a better
idea to just get most of the kart done before starting on catfang himself
but yeah nothing special from there once that was done
I did catfangs face and honestly I kinda rushed it a bit
didnt come out exactly how I imagined it in my head but since it was just a quick paint I didnt feel the need to put more effort into it
but yeah from his face to the rest of his body
tried to keep the orange tint lighting from behind
since I originally was gonna paint a sunset behind him
but I felt done once I finished rendering him
btw lil funfact is that the colors on the kart where mostly taken from
the newgrounds logo
like I legit just screencapped n made the logo big n color picked it while also applying some of my own colors to give it more range n depth
for fun I put the old other mini paints I did sometime ago at the end as I did use em as a ref
