The Doyoung x Winter song is indeed an OST, originally it's a song called TwentyFiveTwentyOne by the band Jaurim, but they actually used it for the drama 2521 as the OST and the drama was super popular, they even performed it at MAMA last year along with Minnie & Miyeon from (G)I-DLE.

2025-02-09 14:34:39 +0000 UTCreaction Part 2 -IVE super outfit and super intro what can I say seeing Liz and Rei in Vampire mode when a few minutes before they were super cute and bubbly shows the versatility of the group, for the rest yujin and Wonyoung steal the show as always and Ive has a knack for releasing remixes for Heya and accendio again and again - ATEEZ best set, best intro, they have incredible class one of them are really top performers, they really remind me of B.A.P who was one of my favorite 2nd gen groups - AESPA the ice princesses I love their outfits, and once again they amaze us. very happy to see so many very good female groups in the same show. wiplash is my favorite song by Aespa and 2024 this title is super addictive. - Taemin the final boss what can I say legendary performance for a kpop legend I didn't expect anything less. between Ateez and Taemin hard to choose the best performance. - Doyoung x Winter my god this duo works so well together, majestic, happy to see some super healing ballads too. -TXT yes same jealous of their jacket, I would love to see them collaborate with Dreamcatcher on this song it's a collab that is missing Dreamcatcher is really missing in this kind of event. - (G-Idle) wow !!!!! we really have a lot of songs in rock version in this event, this version of Super lady is the best, I love all the members of Idle and Soyeon has always been my bias but I've really been falling in love with Yuqi for a while now, and it's really visual I find her more and more beautiful. -SKZ SKZ and ATEEZ had the most worked, most accomplished sets, and they have the best intro, I love their looks, their outfits and their presence. - for me the best collab of the evening was - the girls of Earth arcade (youngji, Yujin, Mimi, Eunji) I was waiting for this collab for 3 years - best performances SKZ, ATEEZ, TEAMIN exequo IVE, AESPA, G-IDLE right after.

I know you had it in some polls before but it never won, but seeing this performance after having watched both season is so much more special. Imagine HMLYCP cast having a stage like this together, that's the best comparison since both shows have a similiar vibe. Really hope you get to react to Earth Arcade some day especially since season 3 will also come out this year. So if you dont wanna wait for HMLYCP s2 I recommend EA ;)

2025-02-09 13:35:25 +0000 UTCI wait every year for this music festival to see what kind of collaboration will come out and this year again I was not disappointed I will not react to all the performances because I do not have much time today but I will react at least to the one I prefer - New jeans despite the very complicated situation of the group the girls are still as pro, we see that they do not want to disappoint their fans. courage to you girls. - G-idle happy to hear Latata again it's been a while since I heard this song, a little back to the source feels good - Ive same for Ive back to the source with Eleven which is always a pleasure for my ears. Ive started 2025 strong with 9 music show wins, and they became the fastest girl group to reach 10 million album sales in just over 3 years I understand DG for me too Yujin is my bias but all the members of Ive are my record bias, glad you like Lizz. - yes the camera work is very similar to that of Inkygayo which is the best weekly music show, but it's the SBS cameramen here we are on MBC so unless they recruited this cameraman they found another very good one - Kiss of life clearly this group has a crazy swag for me. they are at the level of badassitude of XG, I love their look. -ZB1&BND I also love the fact that groups cover songs from other groups, very nice surprise that the guys covered the song "Number 1" by Boa took me back so far, what a pleasure. thank you guys - Class:y glad you made a reaction to this group, well it's one of the youngest groups but I love this song, I was convinced that you would like the MV, they don't perform in the end-of-year ceremonies, this festival also allows groups that don't win awards or who don't have a lot of popularity to perform in front of a very big audience like in an awards ceremony - Cravity I love this song, it's my favorite from Cravity, happy to see them perform in a big show like that. I agree I wish Cravity was as successful as their little sisters IVE they are still too underestimated - John park x Belle I got to know John better at the end of year party that Hyeri had organized for her Hyell's club, there was John park, epic high the members of Hyemileyechaepa and actors this duo is very cool and unexpected. -STAYC so cute it's weird to see a group that bubbly all dressed in black, it surprised me a little, but I love them. Isa is so beautiful -NMIXX I love the rock version very energetic performance - FROMIS9 I was disgusted and very sad to learn that it was their last performance at 9 their contract ended in December 2024 and the group disbanded after that. it was a group that I really liked and I loved idol school, the year 2024 was very sad because many groups have disbanded, I hope to see the girls again maybe in solo projects. once again hybe screwed up they got the girls' contracts back barely 2 years ago and they didn't do anything with the group which was nevertheless in a good momentum and which was starting to have success. they lose New jeans, now Fromis 9. and DG they disbanded, the thing is that out of the 9 members 5 have re-signed with pledis but we lost 4 members of the group so they will no longer be called Fromis 9 - Lee youngji x Mark totally agree it's crazy to see the number of Yougji projects she is in all the events I love this duo. -Soyeon once again agree with you DG for me Soyeon has the same vibe as G-Dragon it's his female version, both are geniuses and Soyeon will be with time just as legendary as G-dragon. she is already recognized as one of the most complete idols of this generation. - Lee eunji x Lee youngji x Mimi x Yujin the collab that I was waiting for the most. the members of Earth arcade on stage since the time they talked about it they finally did it. they chose their characters very well. legendary performance best performance of the evening. DG come on Mimi is part of Oh my girl (you saw their killing voice not so long ago) Eunji = Minzy Mimi = Sandara Yujin = Bom Youngji = Cl - Riize ok now we're talking Growl is my favorite song by EXO Riize couldn't choose a better cover. Growl is the only Exo choreography I know even 9 years later I can still dance it -IVE X STAYC Here is a super cute collab to make the most adorable members of IVE and STAYC shine I think they should have also added Leeseo and Rock U is a super happy song so it's perfect for them. - Enhypen It's one of the boy groups I like to see perform the most

2025-02-09 03:48:55 +0000 UTCI was looking forward to this ๐ - For when you'll react to them: TWS is pronounced as "Two-Us". - Now that I'm paying more attention to the camerawork here, I realize how good it actually is: 1st performance had a great 360 shot around the artists. 2nd performance, someone was lying on the floor and the camera was low with her. 3rd performance, I noticed that the camera always seemed to know what is coming next, so the camera was already (tenth of a second or so) on the person that was gonna sing next, which allowed you to be ready, and you don't miss anything. 4th performance, a great aggressive sudden zoom in on Liz. Adds flavor, dynamics, without losing focus, and made sense. Okay, to be fair, these were pre-recorded afaik, so they were probably edited to be this good. Which is kinda unfair to compare that to the other Shows. But then again, the idols always look at the camera that we see, and that camera in itself is doing great things, so maybe it hasn't been edited that much. Either way, the camerawork was awesome. - Yes, quite a few groups did their debut song: (G)I-dle - Latata, IVE - Eleven, NewJeans- Attention Kiss Of Life - Igloo remains Haneul's (breakout) song ๐ BoyNextDoor & ZB1 - Yes, the song ZB1 did was indeed a 2nd gen song. It was "Mr.Mr" by SNSD (Girls' Generation). BoyNextDoor did Blackpink's Playing With Fire. And together they did BoA's "No.1". class:Y - Very nice to see class:Y here. Song is great, performance wasn't grand (no dancers, choreo very close together, etc) but they did very good. Cravity - Very nice set/stage for Cravity. Love the stroboscoping effect. John Park & Belle - Beauty and the Beast - You want Felix and Belle. I recently noticed that Belle and NingNing sound a bit similar, and are both amazing vocalists. So I have been wondering how a collab between them would sound ๐ค NMIXX - What a great version of See That! Band versions rock ๐ค (have you watched their tiny desk performance yet?) Their makeup was on point as well. fromis_9 - Bittersweet, as I think this was their final performance before their farewell ๐ญ Lee Youngji X MARK - It took me a little while to get used to the rap section, but when they got together it was great! - Yeah, I love this doll house set. And love their singing together. Great chemistry. Soyeon - Power - The cover I didn't know I needed. So good. Yeah, I hope the same thing, that GD saw and approved it. YUNA X KARINA X SULYOON - This was (probably) born from all those (useless) debates about which idol is the most beautiful ๐ฉ. But I sure am glad we got this collab though ๐ Love the dreamy vibe of this song. Nice, welcome change from all the powerful songs. NewJeans - What a great changeup! They've done many year-end show performances but they always manage to keep it fresh / do something different and interesting. Lee Eunji X MIMI X Lee Youngji X AN YUJIN - This is the cast of the show Earth Arcade. - You know her because that's Mimi from Oh My Girl ๐ - Youngji as CL is something I didn't know I needed ๐ RIIZE - So good to hear EXO's Growl again. And see that famous choreo. Great cover. IVE X STAYC - Again, love the vibe change. Something cute this time. Makes this music festival really feel like a music festival/celebration. YEJI X GISELLE X JULIE - Yeah, this is DEADLY ๐ฅต - Love Yeji's hair. Reminds me of Jiu's. And now I wish for a Dreamcatcher member to collab with...anyone basically ๐ฉ - Also love Julie's pants. - And the crowd goes WILD - "That was...too much". Yeah, I'm beginning to wonder if it really was a good idea for you to watch all these performances in 1 sitting ๐ RIIZE - Love the energy, the dance moves, and the stripes on their pants. They filled the stage even without dancers. ENHYPEN - It's the teamwork for me that was really amazing here. IVE - Ever since Liz slayed at MAMA (red dress, blonde hair, red lips), she really has become a problem ๐ฅต - LOVE the outfits, great performance, great transition ๐ ATEEZ - Ice On My Teeth + long coats is just chef's kiss. - Love the San and Mingi solo parts. But I basically love everything about this performance ๐ aespa - It really is: banger after banger. - Love Winter's hair, and outfit. ITZY - Love seeing Lia back, but I still don't like Gold. NIKKI X TAEMIN - In the "live" show they showed a video of Nikki being a fan of Taemin, so I'm really glad for him to get to do this collab. Now, I like Nikki, he's ridiculously handsome, and he's a great dancer, but from the moment Taemin 'entered the building', I couldn't see Nikki anymore ๐ฌ DAY6 - "I wish Xdinary Heroes could perform on a stage like this". I had the same thought, except about The Rose. TXT - What can I say? It's great. (G)I-DLE - another great thing about this MBC festival is that you can hear the audience (in just the right volume). Even when there isn't even that big of an audience. STRAY KIDS - Another good example that with a smaller stage, they don't even need dancers to still completely fill that stage. Stage looked great as well. NCT - I'm not the biggest NCT fan, so I might be a bit biased here, but even though I quite like Mark, I got a little tired of seeing him so many times here ๐คท - Loved Walk though What's my favorite performance? Sorry, I don't do favorites, or any sort of ranking for that matter. Hurts my head, and achieves nothing. Only starts debates with people who have a different opinion or are just butthurt ๐คท

Yoona has actually been the main MC of this show for 10 years, starting in 2015. But I believe this was her last time and we will see a new MC take her place next year. - TWS (pronounced as โto usโ) is Seventeen's little brother group. I like them a lot, definitely worth checking out :) - Taesan's voice completely makes Boynextdoor's vocal identity for me. That's the signature sound right there. Good stuff! - Yes, NJZ is their official new name going forward. But I'm just gonna keep calling them NewJeans. For all I care, NJZ is just an abbreviation in the same wheelhouse as SKZ, SVT, etc. - Yes, MBC Gayo Daejejeon was recorded on December 31st. Way before NJZ came out with their new name. - Absolutely. The smaller venue is such a benefit for good camerawork. - Actually no, as someone who has been to many kpop shows in person, in all sorts of different venues, the best ones are actually the smaller venues. Because they allow you to be closer to the stage, to the idols, and you can see their performance much better. I'm going to see Stray Kids in a goddamn football stadium in July and I already dread how far away from the stage I'm going to be and how tiny the Kids are going to look from my viewing perspective. My favourite venue for kpop shows is the 013 Poppodium in Tilburg. Capacity of 3,000 people and a section of flat stairs in the back to allow you to see over the people in front of you. I saw Dreamcatcher, Oneus and Wheein there. It's small enough that you're still pretty close even in the back, but big enough for some good stage production. Oneus especially had an amazing lightshow! I'm also going to see Taemin there next month. And while the capacity is way too small to meet the demand for an artist of his caliber, I'm actually really excited that I get to see him in such a relatively intimate setting. - They must have had some kind of communication between the groups because we have NewJeans, (G)I-DLE and IVE all performing a short stage of their debut songs. KISS OF LIFE - You know how people thought that Haneul seemed too young and innocent for the KIOF concept? Well, Igloo happened and those people have been real quiet since then. But seriously, what the fuck Haneul. Where did this come from? - This is their best song. Full stop. And the performance at the Asia Artist Awards was even better. Cyberspace/Matrix concept and Haneul completely popped off in the dance break. BND x ZB1 - ZB1 covers Mr.Mr. by Girls' Generation, BND covers Playing With Fire by Blackpink and then they do No.1 by BoA together. - OKAY TAERAE I'M GOING ALREADY. DON'T NEED TO YELL AT ME. - Mr.Mr came out in 2014. So it's by a 2nd gen group but released during 3rd gen times. - I love it when boy groups cover girl group songs. - This collab stage was honestly one of the main reasons why I really wanted you to see MBC. One of my favourite stages for sure! CLASS:y - I already said my piece on their company so I'll just leave it at this here: I hope we don't have to wait another two goddamn years for their next comeback. - Yes, please more small groups on these award show and gayo stages! (btw, you're probably aware, but since you mention Rescene, they just had a comeback this week) - They're just way too good to be kept in the dungeon for two years, I need another CLASS:y album this year! CRAVITY - They really said, we're not done with Road to Kingdom, here have another stage! - There is no break after the rap verse in the Spotify version. It goes straight back into the chorus. John Park x Belle - I'm unfamiliar with John Park but his solo stage was a really nice smooth jazz number. - Wait, why am I just NOW clocking how perfect this song is for Belle? It's literally in her name! She IS Belle! - I always have a great time checking out the ballad and trot singers that appear on these shows. Some incredible voices among them. And I got to know Youngtak through one of these stages a few years ago, he is honestly one of my favourite performers in the Korean music scene. 41 years old, yet more energy and spirit than some teenage idols. - Belle is a SINGER that later learned how to dance. STAYC - They look distractingly good in those outfits, help ๐ซ NMIXX - This is fucking crazy. - Everything they do, they climb further and further up in my bias ranking. And now this absolutely mad band version? - From rock to jazz, sure why not, this is Nmixx after all. - If they don't tour with this live band, I don't want it. fromis_9 - Bittersweet. This is their last live stage together. Their contracts with Pledis ran out the same day and they didn't renew. Which is understandable. That company has done NOTHING for them. They had to BEG Pledis to give them the Supersonic comeback, since the execs had no plans themselves. Seriously, how do you have this amazing group and no intentions to do anything with them?? I just hope they can find a way to continue together, somewhere else. But I'm not sure how optimistic I am about that. Statistically speaking, the odds aren't amazing. Look at f(x) as an example. Amber still insists that they aren't disbanded but ever since they all left SM in 2019, they haven't been seen together. Cases like GOT7 are VERY rare. - The dolphin is called Hayoung :D - If this really is the end, at least they went out on a high note (literally) MARK x Lee Youngji - Fraktsiya is the best goddamn collab to ever come out of the NCT hole, change my mind. - Mark even wrote an original verse for Small Girl, man's dedicated to the last. SOYEON - If there was anyone who could cover GD, of course it would be Soyeon. Who else? - There is one thing I need next: Soyeon and GD collabing. Make it happen! - Maybe I'm reaching too far here but whatever: Soyeon is the G-Dragon of the fourth generation. There are so many parallels, it just makes sense. YUNA x KARINA x SULLYOON - Few things are as dangerous as gorgeous women who KNOW how gorgeous they are. I need help... NewJeans - The vibes are vibing - Have I ever talked about how much I love Hyein's โtoxic loverโ lines just before the first chorus of How Sweet? - Did I promise too much when I said that MBC was my favourite Gayo of this award season? :) - โI'm not gonna be the one to get hurtโ God I hope that remains true for them. As great as it is to see them get a fresh start away from Hybe, I worry about the legality of this whole thing. You know, contracts and all that. If Mimi is here, why not the rest of them? - We need to have at least one collab stage with Yujin and Youngji per year. Was nice knowing you. aespa - If Ateez don't completely murder me on Tuesday, aespa will be sure to finish the job next month. - The Youtube algorithm has been feeding me Winter Whiplash fancams for several days now and I can't stop clicking on every single one of them. I have a problem. ITZY - OT5 UNTOUCHABLE FUCK YES - People be stupid about these things. Yes, sometimes a member doesn't return from a hiatus. But most of the time they do. Haseul was on hiatus for a full year and a half before she returned to Loona for the PTT comeback. In fact, at that point it had been almost two and a half years since the last Loona release with her on it. And she returned. Riku of NCT Wish went on a health related hiatus a couple of months ago and it was just announced that he would be returning very soon. I had absolutely zero doubt in my mind that Lia would return. And she did. Obviously. DOYOUNG - Yes, The Story is a Doyoung original. Released in November with a music video and everything. - Man's got a full string orchestra behind him. - And a choir! - This is a man who loves music with every fiber of his being. TAEMIN - What is it with Hybe artists covering Guilty? Last year we had Yeonjun and now it's Niki. - NOW THAT IS A FUCKING ENTRANCE. - It feels like this is what Guilty was always meant to be. This duet is EVERYTHING. - Sexy guitar riffs in the air. - Taemin is my favourite male idol. I don't need to explain why, do I? DAY6 - Seeing Day6 perform makes me happy too :) - Ohh, what I need is an Xdinary Heroes x YB collab stage where they do Instead and Rebellion back to back. This is my favourite version of Super Lady. They brought in a rock element while somehow also upping the EDM factor at the same time. How does that even work? - And a complete vibe switch. Stray Kids - They about to Chk Chk Boom my fucking face off my head in July, I already know it. - Sometimes I look at Stray Kids and feel like they're not quite human. Like they're just one step above us mere mortals. NCT DREAM - Another one of my highlights watching these reactions: you freaking out over Haechan every single time ๐ - I love how they mixed My First and Last into When I'm With You. That was their first comeback all the way back in 2017. - It just rubs me the wrong way that WayV weren't invited. Three out of four NCT units were here, so why not complete the set with WayV? NCT 127 - Happy birthday to Johnny! - The work ethic of Mark Lee must be studied. - It's always so weird that 127 now has fewer active members than Dream. And we still have to wait until October for Taeyong to return ๐ซ - I don't think I've mentioned how OBSESSED I am with Walk. Pretty sure it's my favourite 127 title. Something about it just tickles my brain in all the right ways. - I mean you got HAECHAN. RAPPING. There's too many and all of them are so fucking good. What I can do however, is rank all the award shows and gayos. Since this may be your last reaction for this season, might as well do it here: 1. MBC Gayo Daejejeon โ flawless camerawork, amazing stages, unbelievable collabs, everything was just perfect. 2. SBS Gayo Daejeon โ amazing production and an outstanding lineup. I mean, we got 2NE1 and G-Dragon! 3. Melon Music Awards (MMA) โ they just never disappoint. Not as many performances as some other shows but they really put everything into the artists that attend. 4. MAMA โ actually decent camerawork this time. And the production value and sheer scale of it all (except day 1 in LA lol) is incredible. Plus, the return of BIGBANG! 5. Korea Grand Music Awards (KGMA) โ this is a new award show and they already knocked it out of the park on their first attempt. Any show that invites TVXQ and Taemin already gets bonus points. 6. Golden Disc Awards โ great production and performances but the camerawork leaves something to be desired. 7. KBS Gayo Daechukje โ Love the performances but the camerawork in the first half of the show that was filmed in Japan was really bad. The second half in Korea was decent and we had some 1st gen legends return which was amazing to see. I mean, Baby V.O.X disbanded the year Bigbang debuted. And now we had them reunite decades later in 2024, performing as if they never left. Huge plus for KBS imo! 8. The Fact Music Awards (TMA) โ this one was okay. Good performances but nothing special in the production. 9. Asia Artist Awards (AAA) โ the only actual letdown this season. I don't know what happened, last year was so good! But this was just mediocre. Way fewer performances than 2023, bad camerawork and the performances themselves were also pretty standard, same stuff you'd see on a regular music show. Kiss of Life were the only standouts but one performance alone can't save an entire award show.

The song itself was pretty popular back then and the background story of the song was from the lead singer Kim Yoonah. The song then inspiring the drama โTwenty-five, twenty-oneโ in 2022 which was a big hit globally. The original song was also featured in the drama in some episodes.
