Hey everyone,
Last week you voted for a video to show an in-depth how-to on setting up the wiper pad and aligning it but also to provide some height offsets for machines that seem to have the nozzle sitting higher than mine - sorry, but I got very sick halfway through making the video so that video is still coming when my voice fully returns! And if you missed it in the last post, the nozzle offsets are live in the X1 SteinWipe listing, the P1 SteinWipe listing, and X1/P1 Dev pack listing.

If you get a chance to click over to YouTube, it would be awesome to see some of your comments there and to show it some 👍 to help the algorithm :) I was lucky enough to record all of the voice over for this video here which was intended to be the video for this week anyway, so Im half on track!

While writing the code for the X1C, I came across three reasons I needed to modify the bed scanning feature for the machine:

1). Often we send our prints and walk away. Sometimes we don't install the plate correctly or even forget to install it all together! Finding out about it 7 minutes into the print is a long time.

2). Installing the plate incorrectly but getting it in just the right spot can result in damage to your bed or nozzle even though the machine as a feature that can prevent it.

3). Sometimes we straight slip up and don't check all the settings before sending a print just to find 7 minutes later the print has failed to start because the bed type reset in the slicer and we failed to check it before sending the file to the pinter.
