Big Weekend Of Tasks Lined Up! Vote For What You Want Done!

Hey everyone,

Your vote matters! Im working at getting some final code out this weekend and before I get too deep into it, I am hoping you all can give me some feedback on what matters most for the majority of our supporters:

1) The P1 Final Codes for Orca (7 codes) - Ive been sticking with Orca just because this slicer has more options for control over what happens during the printing process in controlling travel speeds and accelerations, as well as logic for the best experience using this solution. But I know your concerns with the recent changes to Bambu's access and this may alter your priorities.

2) The P1 Final Codes for Bambu Studio (5 codes) - with less than idea levels of control, we can still have a decent user experience with Bambu Studio and SteinWipe motion control. Some nice to have features may be impossible to achieve without doing post processors (this can be something we do later if enough people want this, more on that later).

3) The X1 Final Codes for Bambu Studio (5 codes) and Bambu Machine Profile (featured in the photo) - with the same ideas mentioned above, this can be an option just to fully wrap up the X1 machine once and for all.

Thank you all for helping me focus on what matters most to you!

Yes, Im looking to provide codes for orca and bambu for both the P1 and X1 - so there will be 4 sets of files containing machine profiles for each and individual gcodes for each. The machine profiles will only be avail in the DEV pack.

Is this setting what you will do first? Will you eventually do all three?

Jay Sissom

Will this be included on the P1 as well?

KyoCasey

100% yes! There is a by layer code included with the X1 currently, you would just need to remove the condition that filters the wipe cycle at the start of the code. it looks like {if layer_Z == [wipe layer]} and then remove the {endif} at the bottom, now it will wipe every layer.

Christopher

Can one be setup for every layer change when using PTEG? IO am so tired of the buggies

Dennis Day

There are a few. Mainly when a material changed is called I can use roles to set speeds and accelerations to limit oozing. Also I go straight to cutting unlike the stock which goes to the chute first then to cutting. It adds lots of time and potential to string which ends up getting wiped and stuck to the side of the nozzle - this is the main reason for the purges getting pulled out of the chute on the material change process. I have a few ideas for BBS I will test. This applies to both machines

Christopher

Which features on the P1 need post processing?

Attila_G

Thanks a lot for this project, just installed mine and really like it!

Thanks for putting it to a vote. Your code + steinwipe has literally altered my entire process in the best way possible and Im afraid to lose that when Orca goes dark. Just sent a print with orca so its still good here! But I'm already getting an update firmware nags on every single print and it's super annoying and I'm just scared! Bambu doing this could mess with my business!
