๐จNew Files Released!๐จ
Added 2025-03-23 04:03:36 +0000 UTCHi everyone,
I just finished the new SteinWipe installation tool programs and I think this should solve the complicated process that once was since launch! All SteinWipe listings have now been updated with the new goods! These files are designed to make it easier than ever to fine tune the position of where the wipe tool paths take place. This will make sure that both sides of the nozzle are getting the best possible clean and will prolong the wiper lifespan. To use the files is simple:
๐
1) Download the Installation Tools file from any SteinWipe listing.
2) Format a spare SD Card for MS Dos FAT 32.
3) Unzip the file and copy the "X Axis Checker" and "Y Axis Checker" folders over to the SD card (do not remove files from folders).
4) Eject the SD card from your computer and insert to your X1 or P1 printers. The files should look like this (X1):
Yes, I made 75 Custom Gcode files and 75 custom thumbnails! All in a day's work! If adding to a fresh SD card which is used just to keep your checker files on, these should stay in the correct order!
You should start with the first 3 files from left to right - Run Lower Bed - lowering the Z axis to make room for all the SteinWipe activities which is just a quick press from the SD card tab!
Now with the bed out of the way, we should select the next file to check the Y axis position and height of the wiper mount by selecting and running the zero Y axis file.
The image displayed shows you what you are ideally looking for when the tool head moves into position beside the wiper. If the final position is off the mark, then you can select 18 additional positions in the positive direction and 18 additional positions in the negative. I have included some arrows showing which way is positive and negative! No more guessing or editing text files until you get it right! You asked for simple and accurate, and I listened!
Next, you will run the X Axis checker starting with the zero position file (this is the last of the 3 files).
Similar to the Y checker files, the X checker files provides 18 positive offsets and 18 negative offsets to pick from to dial in that center position!
Now with your new offsets recorded, simply plug the values into the User Offsets of the Template Custom Gcode section and you are done!
If your machine is already perfect after running the zero position checker files, you dont need to do anything else, just leave the user offsets at zero.
I hope this helps you guys dial in your SteinWipe installs and it should really help with your wiper pads getting torn up dramatically increasing the lifespan of those wiper pads!
Hope everyone has a great rest of the weekend :)
