๐Ÿ“ข SteinWipe Update - PETG USERS!๐Ÿšจ

Hi everyone!

As many of you know, I spent weeks working exclusively with PLA during the development of the Feb.15 Core V1 release of SteinWipe Motion Control (SWMC) โ€” and I'm thrilled to say, based on much of your feedback, it has PLA absolutely dialed in! ๐Ÿ’ช

A huge thank you to those who chipped in toward the material costs by contributing to the donation listings in the shop โ€” your support has been much appreciated. ๐Ÿ™ I've received so much praise for last release, and hearing your feedback has truly kept me going!

But while PLA is now solid and reliable, PETG is a whole different beast โ€” as I quickly discovered through our conversations in Discord. So, I started taking notes... lots of notes. And running a whole new set of tests with new code ideas and then some more tests on top of that.

Well, lots and lots of rolls of PETG later, itโ€™s almost there! ๐Ÿ˜„

Iโ€™ve been working non-stop with every free moment testing exclusively with PETG, and what better way to stress-test the new code than with a real-world job? A client from my old car audio fabrication days reached out with a special request โ€” and it was the perfect opportunity to put SWMC and SteinWipe through a serious trial where timing is down to the wire - there is no time in this deal for a failed 20 hour print!

The result? Over 800 PETG material changes laterโ€ฆ and SWMC absolutely crushed it.

This upcoming release will be marked as Feb.15.2025 Core V2, and if you print PETG, I think youโ€™re all going to love the refinements. Every bug reported in Discord has been addressed, and Iโ€™m confident this will take SWMC to a new level of reliability for PETG users.

Be sure to check out the Project Log HERE to keep up to date and see whatโ€™s coming!

Once again, thank you all so much for your continued support and enthusiasm. I wouldnโ€™t be able to do this without you.

Stay tuned โ€”
Leckiestein

Is this available now in the dev pack?

Tom Smith

I print petg 99% of the time even with v1 of your system. While I thought at the start it was slower to work than stock I have since learned that it is not and it is in fact faster but not only that my prints have never seen as clean so I'm intrigued as to how you can improve on perfection ๐Ÿ˜‚
