*EARLY ACCESS* Tokyo Ghoul: Season 1 Episodes 1, 2 and 3 Reaction

RIZE TURNS KANEKI INTO A HALF GHOUL, KANEKI VS NISHIO AND THE DOVES INTERROGATE GHOULS! The opening scene features a bloodthirsty female Ghoul eating a bunch of human corpses in a killing spree manner. A masked man then interrupts her whilst she's having her meal and she throws his pliers away from the top of the building. The next day, high school student Kaneki goes on a date with a fellow bookworm called Rize. Near the end of the date, Kaneki offers to walk her home as Rize explains that Ghouls live near her house but upon entering a dark alleyway, Rize reveals her true self. Rize bites Kaneki's neck and reveals herself to be a Ghoul and restrains Kaneki with her tentacles to prevent him from running away. She attacks him severely but before she could finally kill him, a bunch of building materials fall on top of her, which kills her. Kaneki is then sent to the hospital where the doctor performs an organ transplant by taking one of Rize's organs and putting it inside Kaneki. Kaneki wakes up and panics upon finding out that he's a Ghoul as normal food now is considered disgusting to him. However, Kaneki realises that only one of his eyes is a Ghoul eye and is haunted by visions of Rize telling him that he's a Ghoul now and should eat human meat. Kaneki tries to control his hunger for human meat but eventually, chases after the scent of human meat only to find Nishio already there near a human corpse claiming that the place is his hunting ground. Nishio therefore attacks Kaneki but Kaneki is then saved by Touka who reveals herself to be a Ghoul too. Kaneki tells Touka that he won't eat the human meat as he doesn't accept himself as a Ghoul saying that his life is hell now but Touka is frustrated by this. Touka shoves a piece of human meat in his mouth and Kaneki later meets Touka's manager Yoshimura who helps Kaneki accept the fact that he's half human and half Ghoul as Rize was not able to completely convert him. Yoshimura introduces him to his coffee which is the only normal type of food Ghouls can have without feeling sick and will suppress Kaneki's hunger for human meat.

Later, Hide introduces Kaneki to his other friend Nishio whom Kaneki recognises to be the guy who tried to kill him earlier. He figures out that Nishio has been trying to play the nice, human guy to blend in human society despite being an evil Ghoul who only wishes to kill and eat humans. Upon entering a deserted place, Nishio kicks Hide out of the way rendering him unconscious and threatens to kill and eat Hide in front of Kaneki. Kaneki tries to stop him but Nishio is too powerful. A flood of nostalgia hits Kaneki as he remembers his childhood of being friends with Hide. Kaneki's love for his dear friend triggers him to enter Ghoul state sprouting tentacles to kill Nishio in the most brutal way. Thus, Hide remains alive and is taken care of by Yoshimura and Touka who tells him a fake story to avoid him finding out what truly happened. Touka threatens Kaneki that if he ever was to find out that he's a Ghoul and what happened then she'll kill Hide. Elsewhere, the Doves Amon and Mado interrogate several Ghouls about the medical pliers that were found in the female Ghoul murder scene that happened before but none of the Ghouls give them any information. So Amon and Mado brutally kill the Ghouls. Meanwhile, Kaneki is adjusting to his life as a half-Ghoul with Yoshimura's help.

*EARLY ACCESS* Tokyo Ghoul: Season 1 Episodes 1, 2 and 3 Reaction

Comments

Yeah I wouldn't do a full series reaction to this but I mean it's alright, definitely has the shock factor and the main character's pretty interesting. I prefer a slightly less dark tone, less gore and yeah I definitely prefer Shonen. The whole point thought with these trial reactions is just to see what else is out there in terms of Anime genres and concepts so definitely don't regret reacting to this, it is pretty cool for what it is.

Lol, yeaa cann tell while the concept seems interesting to you you're probably not going to like this.. Think shounens are your go to... Because there's a lot of helplessness , hate, and darkness in this..Plus like as stated above nothing is really "good or bad" per say... There's gonna be alot of conflicting themes. think you might end up exploding mid reaction 😂😅

This anime is so interesting. At the beginning you see the ghouls as these heartless monsters who enjoy killing and eating humans. But then you realise that not all ghoul are like this. There are many ghouls who try to live in harmony with the humans and if possible not to kill them (that's why they eat people who commit suicide, this way they won't have to hurt anybody). As the story progresses you begin to realise that in some case the humans are the bad guys and the ghouls the victims. It's great because nothing is black and white, there are good ghouls (like the manager, Touka, Hinami...) and there are piece of shit ghouls. The same applies to humans though: there are good humans and assholes like this weird inspector. I agree that's it's quite graphic but it's definitly one of the best animes I've seen storywise

great reaction lol it is quite graphic adn thats the censored version too. its easier to think ghouls less as monsters and rather just a different race altogether. they cant survive without human meat and eating human food not only tastes like shit to them its bad for them. its pretty much like humans and water. we can survive wihtout water for a few days but in the end we will still require it. there r ghouls who enjoy killing but same goes for humans. two sides of the same coin rly.

Danny

First season was really good... After that the show just went downhill, second season was decent...and every other season or part after was utter garbage... But i'll definitely check this reaction out maybe before i go to bed tonight!
