In fact, if he took it off he might have lost by falling out of bounds when he did that twirl. Say what you will about Hatsume, but at the very least she wasn't sabotaging him. XD

Too many of the fights just go by way too dang quick, kinda makes them feel like pointless filler. My favorite thing about tournament arcs is getting to see side characters get a chance to throw down and show their stuff, both in terms of abilities, and personality.
