Idk if anyone here has had the pleasure to read Jesulink's Raruto parody manga, but every time I hear them complaining about Kiba "cheating" by using his dog I just about die laughing remembering this fight in the parody, where Naruto gets increasingly angry at the list of allowed weapons xD

It's not bullshit. There are different types of ninjas in the world. Kankuro has his puppets, Shino has his bugs, and Kiba is a Dog-nin. If you don't allow the dog then you can't allow Shino's bugs or puppets. Also just because Naruto is not smart enough to think to pack food pills to boost his chakra isn't Kiba's fault.

Hinata's VA actually use to do hentai so it makes sense that you would think that from hearing her voice. Took a while to kick the habit I guess lol. Also with Naruto saying "shadow clone jutsu" there when he failed; I think that's because he was using the regular clone jutsu but the dub decided to use shadow clone to match the lip flaps.

You guys should also understand that Naruto was a long running anime that never took breaks besides holidays so of course some episodes tend to be slower because they needed the manga to get ahead and create more material for the anime

I guess they could either do 45 by itself then 46-47 and end it with 48-49-50 or 45-46 with 47 by itself and then the last 3. if we get more picky we could get 45 to 47 and 48 to 50 but that would be back to back triple drop lol I personally would not mind having a week with only 1 episode if it meant 48 to 50 would drop on the same day.

There is an ordinary clone jutsu that makes non-solid clones. To make a solid clone, you need to make it out of something (mud, water, etc). Shadow clone jutsu is a special clone jutsu that essentially lets you make solid clones out of nothing (or out of "shadows") at the cost of using up a lot of chakra. It makes no sense for Naruto to suck at shadow clone jutsu in that scene, you're right about that. He was supposed to be failing at the ordinary (non-solid) clone jutsu, which all ninjas are supposed to learn as a basic skill. He wouldn't have even known about shadow clone at that time, since that scene took place before he stole the scroll. TL;DR: It was a mistranslation. Good catch though. EDIT: I also wanted to say: these reactions are fun as hell. I'm 30 years old, and I haven't watched this show (or much anime at all) since I was a teenager. So it's fun getting to relive it with you guys.

I really don't appreciate saying Akamaru is an "Asian dog" because he has "slanted" eyes. It's just an art-style and Naruto sometimes is drawn like that. Everyone in Naruto is Asian by the way.

Lol I'm just gonna be honest, I'm with Mickey on hinata. Her backstory is sympathetic but her whole thing for naruto is like comically weird. There are definitely better ways to get his backstory across than having her meekly following him around. This fight is kind of slow in general though, especially considering the previous episode's fights are quick and fun

nah man its a mistranslation. He was trying to do the regular clone Justus. the multi shadow clone and the normal shadow clone are the exact same jutsu just done more. It even uses the same hand seal, the only difference is one takes a lot more energy because of how many clones you make.

Kage means shadow in Japanese. Hokage means "fire shadow" because they are the ninja leader of the land of fire. All the other lands follow the same naming structure in Japanese, Wind Shadow Lightning Shadow etc.

To answer the clone jutsu question its a mistranslation. In the original Japanese he says "bunshin no jutsu" clone technique. The shadow clone jutsu is "kage bunshin no jutsu"

The jutsu you're thinking about in the first episode is called "Tajuu Kage Bunshin" which is the x100 more advanced version of Kage Bunshin. It was a spur of the moment thing! Nine-tails chakra and all that helped.

I understand their jabs at Hinata, but I feel like they are missing the overall point of what she was saying. When I first saw this I remember feeling sympathetic towards naruto and I feel they are just oblivious too it because they are focusing on the wrong things. Like instead of focusing on just why she's there why not actually listen to what she is saying. Cause mickey said "naruto was having a private training session and she's spying on him." Which could be true, however he is also having a private training session not because he chooses to be alone, but because he has nobody outside of the academy to teach him. But maybe i'm being to critical, but just something that i think should be focused on more.

To answer the question, what he was practicing is the classic clone jutsu, basic move for ninja but you can only do one easy and it doesn't last long...what he learn from the scroll is a forbidden jutsu called Shadow Clone jutsu where he create exact copie of him, can do more but cost stamina which he have plenty and they be use in more way...also there are other specific which make it OP when used by the right person but it would be a spoiler of Shippudden and explain the forbidden status of this jutsu...It's also more difficult to learn...

The jutsu you guys saw Naruto practice in the flashback was the regular Shadow Clone Jutsu. The one he did in the beginning episodes was Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu. Two totally different jutsu.
