I definitely see it as a reflection of his own issues rather than a jab at Daisy. She just happens to be the next person in a long list of people who he felt "abandoned" by or isolated from. And I agree that Daisy and Fitz are like peas in a pod. Both have quite a black and white sense of justice, both hold people to incredibly high moral standards and both are immensely harsh on themselves for making mistakes. Mack is right below them when it comes to these things, but is more compassionate with himself and others, which is why I believe he gets on with the two of them so well. Seeing him trying to be the diplomat between the two of them is like the epitome of their entire relationship. I just wish this had been a moment of compassion from Fitz, but it's WELL within character of him to go off like that. Loyalty is a BIG thing with him, to a fault. It was very evident in season 2 and makes a comeback this season again. That's where he defers from Daisy - blind loyalty isn't a thing for her, rather transparency is her thing (which, duh, makes sense considering both their childhoods) however their black and white ideals make for some INTENSE arguments. I, myself, am a bit of a mix of Mack and Jemma - having a clear sense of right and wrong, but knowing when to step over the line to get things done.

Daisy not only lost Lincoln but under Hive's sway she tried to kill Mack, force choked Fitz, collapsed parts of the base-injuring Coulson, provided the blood that Hive made the primitives with (willing to give up her life to do), Hive turned a ton of agents into Primitives (that blood is on her hands too) and Andrew died to save her (and the junkie in her wanted to go right back). She was living with all that as well.

I think that what Fitz said to Daisy is more about his heartbreak over continuously feeling like people are choosing to leave the bonds and friendships he builds with them. When Fitz attempted to open up the case in a last ditch effort for evidence or to find Jemma, he was still working off the idea that she was still possibly alive. Not the largest hope, i'll give you that, but a sliver of it and added desparation. Daisy however is leaving the team and Lincoln is dead. I don't blame her obviously, as this is a choice made from her own self criticism. She has always took on blame for things that were out of her control. Fitz and Daisy actually are very similar in that Daisy's remarks seem to reflect her own and be about paying a nod to her own issues, as does Fitz's remarks.

I don't really agree with what Fitz said to Daisy. (My memory is a little bad so I might be mistaken in what I'm about to say) but almost everyone there has turned their back on the team or SHIELD. (1) May left SHIELD when all that stuff with Andrew was going on, wanting to reconnect with him and such, and also she turned her back on Coulson and her team when the incident with Bahrain happened (understandable). (2) Jemma left when Fitz's incident happened and became to much to handle (though I know it was partially due to a mission but I feel like season 1 Jemma would've still told him) and even after they distanced themselves because they didn't know how to handle the situation. (3) Fitz also distanced himself from everyone after that (also understandable) and he also was on a one track mind when it came to Jemma missing. Going off on his own missions instead of helping out. (4) Mack, let's not forget when you and Bobbi kinda turned againt the whole team to be part of the "real SHIELD" (I'm aware he technically wasn't really part of the team at that point yet. (4) and Coulson kind of separated himself from the team for a bit when he became director. Also, when Rosalind Price was killed by Ward he jumped into the portal just to kill Ward, not thinking about the team he left behind or being the leader. Now, I'm not hating on any of these characters because I love them all, but I'm just saying they aren't so perfect themsleves. Also, we have to look at it in Daisy's point of view; she just lost someone who she loved (not to mention both her parents after searching all her life for them) and is probably still going through/just got over withdrawls. She is not in the mental space to be wanting to be around or getting close to people again.

I think we all just perceive it differently. Like to me, Jemma wasn't "dead" so trying to find her and whatever methods he used makes sense. Lincoln is dead, so Daisy is just running off and disregarding everyone since shes in pain. Obviously death is hard to deal with, but I just feel like shes out of control to the point that shes really threatening a guy (Ghost Rider) by mentioning his brother (whose in a wheelchair). Old daisy I dont think would stoop that low, but shes at a low point right now that i think shes just off the walls. I'll be honest, Daisy frustrates the crap out of me whenever she does something like this. I love her character but i HATE those moments.

I agree completely. Especially since when it was clear to Fitz last season that Jemma was 'dead' he tried killing himself by opening the obelisk container. Which, under Fitz description, was 'abandoning' the team. She's suffering from withdrawal and is in immense pain after losing someone she loved (who the team didn't really care about either). TBh I saw Fitz' outburst as a reflection of his abandonment issues (which the show goes into in more detail this season) and not as a comment on Daisy 's "selfishness"

Nah, fitz was being super hypocritical. Especially since he went AWOL to find Jemma last season and disregarded everyone in favour of her. Daisy lost someone, and she's feeling guilty and like a time bomb. Honestly it's hardly selfish if her to believe she's a liability for the team.

It was a sci-fi show... the MCU was also a sci-fi franchise, up until Dr. Strange added the mystical side of Marvel comics... and this season was released at the same time as Dr. Strange... the book they're referencing which you'll learn more of later, is taken from Dr. Strange comic storylines.

Not only was Ming-Na Wen in a movie with Blade and Iron Man, but she was also in Push (2009) with Captain American himself and Korath (Djimon Hounsou in Guardians of The Galaxy and Captain Marvel) . But let's be real, everyone in Marvel has worked with someone else in Marvel outside of Marvel.

yeah i think this is the first season where it starts feeling like a different show which isn't a bad thing! it's amazing how they were able to reinvent themselves 4 seasons in. they really knocked it out of the part with the story this season. wait gotta not get your expectations too high hold on....it's....bad. :) also this is AFTER civil war. remember in homecoming they alluded to steve being considered a war criminal after civil war bc he was on the run with falcon and black widow kinda being vigilantes until we see his return in infinity war. the civil war plug was last season, hive kind of gave a throwaway line about it.

Awesome reaction!! But I think you're looking at the Daisy situation all wrong though. What Fitzsimmons went through and what Daisy has gone through are two completely separate subjects... You can't compare them like that imo.

Jemma: "Maybe this is like Tobias ford" Which is referencing 1x9 when they had that guy who was trapped between dimensions chasing them. A nice little callback which shows that that episode has some value, contrairy to what many think.

I actually liked this episode showed Mace’s ideas and actions do have merit to them. Mack only figured out Yo Yo was stealing the new drug for Daisy because he was forced to check inventory. It was a good way to show that while the character may or may not be sketchy at this point that he still has good points on regulating Shield more. Also I’m pretty sure the people on the plane with May were not the tour group.
