For Breaking Bad, Nahid is there… though he himself seems to lack some of the insight required to point out all the amazing references/ongoing themes in the show. Chris does a decent job with Community. There are just a lot of things that happen here that can be pointed out which might contribute to a greater appreciation of the series as you watch on. In this particular episode, there aren’t too many examples, however- - This was the second episode in the run that shows off Ron’s woodwork. What hasn’t been pointed out is that the actor playing him, Nick Offerman, is a master carpenter/woodwork artist in real life. He has been honing his skills for more than 20 years and often makes furniture or display pieces that sell for thousands of dollars. - You saw the first appearance of the animal control guys, Harris and Brett. Harris is named after the real actor who played him, Harris Wittels, a talented writer and comedian who passed away way before his time due to a heroin overdose. He was best friends with most of the crew, and served as a writer and EP on Parks and Rec, and Masters of None, the first season of which was dedicated to him. - A cuter note, literally: the same teddy bear cam that Tom gave Ann, was the same Tracy Morgan used in the 2010 film Cop Out to spy on his wife, ALSO played by Rashida Jones. The movie released a few weeks before this episode. Given that another major film, Kick Ass, came out in 2010 and prominently featured a bear nanny cam, I wonder if a manufacturer negotiated deals with studios/distributors to push their product.
