This episode was Defintely necessary even if its labeled filler its still developement.. Fillers are just subjective sometimes, if it was a random filler I could see but if its ongoing backstory then no don't skip it.

I think everyone had their own perspective on what should be skipped and what shouldn’t be. Do what you want lol. Imo, I’m a completionist lol so I don’t skip any episode cuz I have a fear of missing even the tiniest scene. Tbh some tiny scenes mean nothing to others but I love them because they either make me smile, or cry, or they flesh out characters and build upon our view on them 🤷🏻‍♀️

Jiraiya is a great teacher. You just gotta know that some things can't be taught by seeing and can only be taught through repetition or practice. Imagine being given a pencil and paper and being told to draw a face. Your teacher can give tips and tricks to doing it one way, but the only way to draw that face is to teach your hand to draw that face. It's the same with Naruto and summoning a toad. Jiraiya gave Naruto the signs, the technique and even a demonstration. There's literally nothing left for him to teach about it unless he straight up possessed Naruto's body and mind to summon the toad... and then Naruto would have learned nothing.

I actually think Sakura’s love for Sasuke has moved beyond basic crush and is more sincere now. Her worrying over him is valid, and she’d do the same for Naruto. I think this episode further showcases her compassion, which is always balanced against her cutting determination and pettiness (aka inner Sakura). She’s a flawed but loving character and grows more as a person with each experience. She may not have epic battle scenes, but I don’t think that diminishes her as a character at all. Her independence progress, much like Naruto’s ninja art progress, is slow (I mean, they’re only 13).

The lore and backstories of the characters are only briefly talked about in naruto. The whole series is basically a setup for shippuden lol but still worth watching for the awesome fights and amazing character development that molds the characters into who they are in the next series

They shouldn’t. Has plenty of great Canon moments. Important ones too. Only 4 minutes towards the end are fillery.

In case you guys haven't gotten the picture yet, this is a slow-paced show. There are going to be episodes where you see the particular state of the village (in this case: peaceful) and either see the monotonous work that Naruto's putting into his training, or the stubbornness of Rock Lee, the hopeless love of Sakura, or the lazy frustration of Shikamaru being reinforced. It's meant to be a slow-paced show that you enjoy leisurely, and are surprised by the hype moments. You're not supposed to be watching it, expecting every episode to be the next Hidden Lotus or Nine-tailed Fox. Episodes like this are supposed to be the norm, because this is what their daily life is like.

Naruto is one of those series, with one piece that you kind of binge watch. It’s slow paced especially the fights that takes like 10 episodes. The show is great though, one of the greatest anime of all time... Don’t skip any episodes on naruto until you get to shippuden. some episodes may have that filler vibe to it but the show is laying down the groundwork for character development and what’s to come in the future. The show gets really dark. You are about to witness how a naive, annoying little brat become the strongest and coolest character.

I don't watch Naruto but I don't think they need triple drops. They already get a standard double drop weekly where other shows get a double drop once in a while. Everyone always saying "but its a long series and we need more uploads", uh no. What's the rush? Who cares if it takes a few years to finish. Enjoy the journey and be grateful for what you get (weekly double drops) and dont beg for more.

well the problem with some of the naruto episodes is that they mix in some of the important content to the "fillery" episodes so they're still watchable... but yeah it consumes so much time lol I kinda wish you did like 4 episodes a week and maybe just one discussion for all of them but I guess that's hard to edit too..

Yeah.. Naruto female carachters.. I think at some point the third Hokage is explaining the three man team (their standard starting team for new genin), and how it is set up and why, and I swear he almost literaly says: The team almost allways consist of to guys and one girl, and that is because the kunoichi (female ninja) is basically just there to fuel rivalry between the two boys, so that they challenge each other and become better ninjas. That idea/that view I feel expains a lot about how the story views it female carachters, and in turn is a good indicator of why Narutos female characters tend to.. not be as interesting or complete or consistent as the boys and men..
