I don't think so. After all, most stories take inspiration from real world counterparts. Most of Avatar's teachings and lessons are rooted in Eastern Philosophy and Religion (though some is based on Western philosophies, as well). Hell, I began looking at people as individuals (rather than an identity) because of Monster's exploration of the nature of humanity and identity. So if an ideology interests you, research it and find out where their inspiration came from
