Yeah, I dont hate the majority of shippers, just the overly vocal toxic minority. I'm pretty active on the subreddit and I lived through the hell that the toxic parts of the fandom put us through, and I dont want to see that happen here too.

I feel like this happens with every gay relationship on TV. It also happened with Willow/Tara and Korra/Asami. When two straight characters, who have had little to no interaction, get together the audience just accepts it. They may not like it, but they don’t actively hate on it. When it happens with same sex couples so many viewers are like it came out of nowhere, when actually there’s subtle buildup. They just don’t notice it because their used to heteronormative relationship ideals. It drives me crazy.

Love the reaction to the Clarke/Lexa kiss, it had me cracking up! I had a feeling they were gonna be a thing from very early on, and when Lexa was telling Clarke about her ex girlfriend I was pretty sure. I've seen too much tv to know they don't just drop "oh btw i'm gay" scenes in shows like this and not do something more with it. Also you'd have to really not be paying attention to not notice that Lexa has been throwing heart eyes at Clarke all season long lol, and a lot of the times they've spent alone together have turned weirdly soft. I feel like there were definitely signs, but maybe only if you had gay goggles on cuz I sure did. Also I would just like to say the clexa fandom sure isn't the only toxic part of this fandom. I'm not apart of it anymore but as I remember it there was plenty of ugliness going around, especially during s2-3. People from all sides were responsible for the god damn fandom war zone at the time.

Clarke/Lexa ❤️❤️People keep saying the fandom is toxic, yeah, a portion is, but there is a whole other portion that isn’t. The fandom has done so much good for lesbian visibility on TV. There is a whole con that happens every year celebrating Queer women. I don’t have any problems with people shipping Bellamy/Clarke, but I honestly just don’t. It’s refreshing to see the two leads of the show NOT romantically involved. This the same fandom that stalks Eliza and Bob’s personal life and made them announce their marriage. Bob’s ex gf has been getting hate from fandom for years now. The ones using racism as a reason to hate on clexa, when ignoring the ACTUAL blatant racism on the show. Not every Bellarke fan is like that, but there is bad in every fandom. I don’t know why they act like they are so much better. Every fandom has crazies.

Oh and I'm probably totally wrong and have watched too many action movies but couldn't Bellamy have survived that fireball?? It didn't seem *that* farfetched - basically a bomb went off and was channeled into the duct, B only had 2 more feet to go, so the bomb propelled him forward into that safe zone. Seems possible, but I'm probably wrong 🤣 what do you think guys?

Yes, I hate when shippers and romance fans focus so much on the romances in shows that they forget that there's more to it than just romance. Unless the story's main plot involves romance then you should focus more on the interesting main plots than the romance subplots. Any story can have romance but, not every story has amazing main plots and characters. I say for shows in general not just The 100. I also hate when shows start catering too much fanservice for fans instead trying to write their own good story. P.S. I still you Arrowverse shows despite the blatant fanservice given.

@Bilal Yeah, I cant stand it when shipping takes priority over storyline, at least JRoth and the rest of the writers room haven't made the same mistakes that the Arrowverse writers have made and allowed the fans to dictate where the story goes based solely on shipping. That show was so good up through season 2 and then the shippers took over and the show took a nose dive in quality from season 3 onward. @Bejo Yes, it really is that good. They retooled the writers room and added a while new crew including someone from the expanse, though they did retain Kim Sumway (the writer of this episode and many of the best episodes in the series), and made the decision to go hard scif-fi and it's one if the best decisions they have ever made. The seventh episode, the most recent one, is in serious contention for being the best episode to date of the entire show. The plotting has been great, it is exceedingly well paced, all of the characters are very well realized, and it probably has the best villain/set of villains this show has ever seen. You should be very hyped.

All the "ship-based" fandoms for this show are Toxic, not only the Clexa fandom! that's why I hate the whole ship mentality (especially for this show). it makes fans priorities shipping couples over the storyline itself and by doing so, judging the quality of the writing based on whether their ship has good moments or not....that's the kind of stuff that ruins shows.

Guys, be careful how involved you get with the Clexa portion of the fandom. Those of us who are level-headed generally try to avoid the more toxic sides of the fandom and a lot of the Clexa fandom is very toxic. That said, this is easily one of the top 5-10 episodes of the entire show and is one of the reasons I love season 2 so much. That said, season 6 is currently unseating season 2 as my new favorite. It has been nothing short of spectacular. Keep up the great work guys and I can't wait to watch ya'll react to the #lituation (as Chris put it) that is Blood Must Have Blood Parts 1 and 2 next week. I especially can't wait for the discussion that is to come for those two episodes. See ya'll next week!

Season 2 Bellamy the GOAT, it's like a freaking MGS game.

I could actually see the chemistry between Clarke and Lexa long before they revealed that Lexa was gay and even jokingly imagined what if they hooked up at some point. But then they revealed that Lexa had a deceased girlfriend in 2x09 during the funeral pyre in for Finn and the grounders he killed and the subtext started to stop being subtext and then after the next episode with the carbon copy Grodd, i'm certain even the most loyal of Bellarke fans could tell Clarke and Lexa were spending an awful amount of time together and by then it stopped being a matter of "if" and became a matter of "when". As for the matter of Bellarke, I did shop them for the first season and the first half of this season, but because I'm a guy and I can dig the idea of 2 girls together (sorry not sorry), I stopped caring about Bellarke and immediately shifted to Clexa. Also, in case you were wondering, the creator for the show confirmed that Clarke came out as bisexual when she was still on the ark
