Agents of Shield 4x9 Update! :(

Hey everyone sorry for the mix up in today's post. A lot of Normies are out of town and taking a break this week so we have only filmed up to 4x9. We will not be able to meet up before next Tuesday for 4x10. We had it set for just Slingshot to be posted this week. There was a miscommunication in today's earlier Patreon post. We will be posting 4x9 next week and will make it up to you all with a double drop next month!

Agents of Shield 4x9 Update! :(

BTW y'all, I'm not suggesting that any of us (myself included) should go throwing money around in Patreon support; but that it might be helpful for us to look at the big picture. It's fair to look at the Normies as a brand in a sense; in that they're a production house with facilities and staffing and a non-trivial amount of patrons and support. One can do the math. It's true that they're not a person on a webcam reacting in the corner of their room. But they're also people, and one shouldn't forget it. And those two aspects come together. As their update said, there were some scheduling challenges. I get it it, it can be a disappointment. But see, if it was one person reacting in their room, one of the Normies could do the reaction while the others are doing what they gotta do. But that's not the brand. It's a group reaction channel, so the group needs to be scheduled. Speaking of groups and mainstream creators and production houses: most of them are on hiatus right now. Scripted shows with long season runs (eg. The Big Bang Theory) have a production cycle 3 to 4 weeks in advance of airdate. Which means they don't go back to work until late July at the earliest. Short season shows (eg. The Good Place) filmed in spring. Heavy VFX shows (eg. Agents of SHIELD) likewise film in spring for VFX rendering in the summer (which frees the cast and showrunners to go to Comic Con and the like). So look, it's late June. They may have friends graduating college, nephews and nieces graduating high school, friends getting married (it's wedding season), maybe they're going to surprise us with some convention content, whatever. Or maybe they're pursuing their personal favourite of filming some of their original content. It's late June, the sun sets late, they have the light and they can do a longer shoot. What I'm saying is that if we really think about it, and *then* consider them as both a brand, a production company, a group of friends, a group of people... it doesn't make sense to harsh on them too hard. I don't have any insider information or anything, but this is where my mind goes.

Hi Jess. Undisputed (above) didn't take me up on my offer to help (which I totally respect of course), so I'll extend it to you. If you wish, you can message me your Patreon tier and your PayPal e-mail address and I can help you out next month. If I can help the Normies not get unduly penalized by the fanbase for a logistical issue (it is summer after all; most content producers are on straight up hiatus until late July in the earliest), I'm happy to help this time around.

Alvin Cura

Yes triple drop next week

The Answer

Damn been waiting all week for 9. Not sure I can continue next month for money reasons :(

Technical difficulties do happen, and seeing as how the whole point of Patreon/YouTube is for creatives to have an interactive relationship with their audience, it's not like network TV or whatever. Also the budgets are less and the content isn't necessarily in the can three months in advance. But to make the point, you can message me your Patreon tier and your PayPal e-mail address and I can help you cover July if it's that big an issue. Like I said, it's an interactive platform.

Alvin Cura

Yes stop Naurto and start reacting to RWBY instead.

That's actually terrible for me. One of my main patreon selling points was AOS. And I'm soooo broke right now. I can't afford to continue next month. I have to wait till at least August. What a bummer.

Undisputed

The only way to make it up to us is to stop reacting to Naruto!

Sorry you weren't a fan of the side story. I personally loved it and am glad they reacted to it. Pretty fun with the old school tie ins and filling in some of the gaps in the story. I would be personally fine if they didn't double drop next week. I don't feel entitled to anything, but if they do, then that would be cool. I always enjoy more AoS.

Anthony Wickizer

Yikes. People need to calm down. Loved the Slingshot reaction, as I thought it was a great showcase for her character and what Daisy was doing in between. Thanks for the reaction.

Anthony Wickizer

Good luck homie!

Bisibia

No joke ... I’m in the hospital awaiting heart surgery and I was so looking forward to watching your AoS reaction today ... bummer

This post doesn't surprise me

Mten10th

It’s not pointless if you love these characters and you want to see how intrusive the process for signing the accords is.

Christopher simeon

Yow, I'm surprised there isn't more love for Slingshot. It had important backstory beats, especially for the title character.

Alvin Cura

Yeah slingshot is pretty pointless, pretty sure it was just a promo for a spinoff which never happened

What a roller coaster i see that Slingshot is getting dropped i was like meh i would rather ep 9 read the thing see that episode 9 is getting dropped i get hyped come back ep 9 is not getting dropped i am like fuck lmao but hey happy for the heads up.

Justin Jefferson

I blame the people who asked them to react to Slingshot, mostly pointless.

n p

Exactly. That’s the only way they can make up for it.

Alejandro

If there was going to be a double drop I think 4x14 and 4x15 are a good one.

Christopher simeon

oooh the possibilities of that double drop tho! i'm good with that!
