The characters change a bit from the pilot, less obnoxious, funnier, but actually season one is really good which isn't the norm for most genre shows. It's normal for shows to kind of suck in season one but the story is really good and by the end, you get a real sense of the humour of the show.

I quite enjoyed it though and I I don't think any reaction channel I follow has ever watched The Magicians so this will be very interesting! Can't wait!
