It’s not that important and it probably only really helps you because it makes you feel better about knowing the information. If they miss it, it’s whatever. You don’t need to give them hints so they can start to figure out what’s going on and be less surprised for future episodes.

The Hokage even said that it's possible for either all the candidates to get promoted or none of them. It's just that the more matches you win you naturally have more chances to show off your skills in case you didn't quite do your best the first time.
