[Premium Access] Lost - There's No Place Like Home Part 3 - Reaction

Yunjin Kim's screams still haunt me she is such a damn good actress.. "You can go now Michael." Penny and Desmond reuniting! Locke in the FUCKING. COFFIN.

GOD DAMN this is one of the best seasons of television damn near EVER....if you disagree FIGHT ME!!

I'm going to do my absolute god damn best to NOT TALK at all in the next couple seasons. Going to try my best to give guidance only when absolutely needed! I was going to ask the girls to watch the mobisodes but after careful consideration I think we are just going to jump straight into Season 5. Funnily enough we're starting 5x1 TODAY! We're probably watching it right this minutes as you're seeing this post.

What is your favorite part of this finale?

they literally explain the polar bears in this epi lol

assCrackBandit

Finally some reactor on the internet is going to get to the end of Lost for the love of pete

Kenneth thomas

I think Rana reads the comments here so it's best not to talk about things that happen in future eps!

I hope Suraj explains the ending the right way. I hope he doesn’t say something like “they were dead the whole time” and completely ruin what the ending actually means like a lot of people do. Niki and Rana are smart so I think the ending is explained well enough in the Jack/Christian church conversation. I just hope Suraj doesn’t lead them down the wrong way with the ending.

The reason why the polar beer was on the island was because they would buy animals and test them on the island like the Time travel Machine

Daniel

Ah the polar bears, what a frustrating point of discussion with people. “Where did the polar bears come from?” - the cages on Hydra Island, where they were transported to and held for experiments. They actually even show you - and then they show you the caves where they ended up in on the main island after they escaped (polar bears can swim). People were actually shown this but apparently still needed a character to sit them down and just outright tell them...which was the epilogue they released on home video after the series wrapped, I guess.

Dylan Morgan

It answered everything it raised at the end of season 3 and throughout season 4. Self-contained, sure, but carried little of its own questions past its finale.

Dylan Morgan

Thank you! I'm one of the 'stopped watching here' dudes. And after seeing this up until now with you, I can't think of any reason why, totally Lost on that.

Danny Jasper

I may need to go back and watch the scene in full, but I always remembered them using the bears to turn the wheel. It was definitely wearing the harness collar thing. But same with the shark as well, all the animals were part of the experiments. Would have been SOOOO cool to have seen the other island in the flashbacks fully operational with the bears in the cages.

Erich Bomke

The only thing more shocking to me was when Alpert came out of the jungle and told him that he had to die to save the island, and he said that Locke told him. My mind blew up!

Great reaction guys! 😃 Cant wait for your reaction to season 5, my personal favorite.

Starting season 5! My fav season lets go!

Lost is such a spectacular show. Just everything about it is amazing. I'm watching it again with my boyfriend who has never seen it and it's fun to experience all the twists and character development all over again. Like oh my gosh.

Nerd rant... many answers to minor mysteries are implied in later circumstances, but never made the point of the drama, like environmental lore/worldbuilding in many video games. In S1 there's the misdirect that Walt conjures the polar bears from the comic but once Dharma is introduced in S2 and there are bears in the orientation video and the whole station is rundown and creepy, the polar bear mystery is pretty much answered thru production design alone, even more w the cages in s3, and in s4 w the bear in the desert where Ben pops out, as a clue to unlocking the warp point on the world map. This kind of world building is about better context offered as a sufficient, but not necessarily complete, explanation of what's going on for 'the players'. I think what divided the fanbase over the show post-finale was less the finale itself, and more about people declaring themselves cool or not with the approach to answers that Damon & Carlton had already been using for years.

Yeah that Locke reveal might have been the most shocking thing in the show for me. Then 8 months of painful waiting and speculations. Premature babies like Locke were made and born during that time. But none of those babies were like him. None.

David Caine

i wish i was a normie. <3 thanks for all of this.

cherinski

what a dick season finale lol. 0 answers, more questions, half year of waiting. It's Lost alright.

Suraj i think now you can remind them how that polar bear ended up in the desert

Jordan Drake

Suraj!! Add your brother next season!!!

Pervy Sage

my jaw hit the floor when i refreshed after watching 4x13 and saw this
