I agree, the hospital sequence was incredibly weak imo, I was yelling at the TV the whole time. I wont say why cuz spoilers but the whole scene was an eyeroll for me.

Funny, these contradicting opinions on the new season. For me it was a awesome 9 as a whole. I loved every minute from start to finish, think it was a lot better then season 2, and maybe even on par with season 1. I never laughed as hard as I did with this season, was scared from time to time, cried my eyes out from time to time. It was AWESOME.

IMO this season is a weak 6 out of 10. Tripled down on the tropes, Tripled down on the impossibilities of character situations, Tripled down on the cringe. Season 1 is 9 out of 10 territory. Perhaps I'm just over this show in general but to me the writing felt really weak compared to the last 2 seasons.

both season 1 and 2 were really suspense, especiaslly season 1 when they were hunting the demogorgon. This season is too much of a comedy for me, i feel like it was made for a much younger audience than season 1 and 2.

i felt like they went a bit too far with the kids' mall visit - it felt more like a teen drama/comedy on CW than Stranger Things. I don't mind some levity, but they don't have to make it simple. Season 1and 2 had complexity, nerve and suspense from the start whereas this feels more like a slow-burn. I guess I'm just used to this show being sci-fi suspense/mystery/horror. And characters - the grown-ups - often feels more like caricatures.

Mickey... that whole mall is a set piece, and a legit mall. Only CGI for it is when its a exterior picture, the setting is CGI, but not the inside.

Yeah, i think this show will always remain fun but it will never be as good as season 1. In season 1 things had weight, now it's just a big comedy.

Evan though this season was ok/good the first season will always be the best. I didn’t like some of the character development the characters got in this season compared to the others
