Then when the episodes start to get longer later on in the series go back to singles. But then i guess people would complain once that happened...damn lmao.

It’s the same setup for having a titan shifter to get eaten and pass on their powers (not the same place as with eren since it’s not the crystal cave). Remember she did say she accidentally stole their power so you could say she’s giving it back.
